Degree: Social Sciences
Graduation Year: 2017

I am in my first semester of grad school, and so far love my program. My colleagues are great, and the environment is collaborative with lots of opportunities to advance your research interests. The professors are somewhat available, but there isn't a huge mentorship focus from faculty. The only other area I feel truly at lack for is transportation options, which in Miami always tend to be lacking. But parking and campus parking authority are not terrible, which is nice. All in all, a beautiful and diverse campus that provides a great environment to learn.

I also graduated with a B.S. from FIU. The campus offers a great diversity of resources to help students succed in their classes. There is also a variety of green areas for science related research as well as rest areas.

I have not lived on campus , but from what I have seen the housing looks good. There are several places on campus to purchase food. Many of the aspects of FIU are improving each year- such as sports and campus activities.
