Florida International University was such an excellent college to go to. When I first applied I was hesitant, but I am so glad I decided to enroll. It was close enough to home, but far enough for me to get the real college experience. Plus, who wouldn't want the opportunity to live in Miami?

Florida International University (FIU) has been my home away from home all throughout my undergraduate years and will continue to be for the next 3 years in graduate school. They have always treated me like family and prepared me for my future as well as they could. For as much effort that I put into my degree, the professors, faculty and administration did the same. Although FIU has over 50,000 students, they always found a way to make you feel special. Most professors offered flexible visiting hours and fast and easy ways of getting in touch with them. Along with a great curriculum and an amazing work force behind it, the main campus at FIU is beautiful. Miami summer all year round with all state of the art facilities and buildings from medical buildings to law buildings and awesome restaurants and student environments. Also, the brand new recreation center is almost finished with remodels just in time for me to start my 3 year program (which I'm extremely excited about). All in all, FIU is an amazing place to learn and grow. FIU builds leaders and innovators for our future and I would definitely recommend attending this university to anyone interested in a great learning experience.

The Online Corporate MBA program at FIU has allowed me to continue my education while working and meeting my financial obligations. Each online course is easily accessible from wherever you go. The courses are detailed and thoroughly explained. As long as I kept all my work and time organized I was able to complete my work and projects on time. The group project section on the online portal is efficient. Collaborating other my classmates was easier than ever. This online course increased my organizational skills and productivity.

I am currently in my second semester of the Speech-language pathology Master's program at FIU. So far the the program has been amazing! The professors are very knowledgeable and show genuine interest in their students' success. Outside the classroom, FIU has prepared multiple opportunities to learn and gain experience in the field of speech pathology. I was especially interested in attending FIU because it has a unique "bilingual emphasis" prigram.

Florida International is smaller in size and popularity than most of the 4 year universities in the state, yet they offer a wide variety of majors and professions and have become more competitive with many of the neighboring schools.

Despite being a commuter school, FIU manages to meet the standards of your ideal college experience. From orientation into the college life to your journey entering adulthood, you are prepared to take on all challenges that come your way. Entering my first year and being an out of state student, I was unsure on what to do and where to go. FIU provided me with mentors and other leaders in campus to show me the ropes. These club/student Leaders invited to on-campus events that allowed me to network with other students like me, and other student Leaders and organizations that would help me throughout my college years. Little did I know that these experiences earlier on would set me up for a promising future! I am now in pursuit of my masters in architecture, working at a firm that has been awesome for the past 2 years while still being able to remain active in my fraternity!

Graduation Year: 2018

Florida International University has done a superb job at providing students with a well-rounded globally focused education. After receiving my B.A. degree from FIU, I decided to also pursue my MBA here , due to the excellent programs, rigorous coursework, and global mindset. FIU prepares students to be successful within their communities, but to have an open mind for diversity. The school hosts a variety of speakers, with President Obama being one of the most recent guests. There are many opportunities for career advising, networking, and weekly (sometimes more) workshops to prepare students to be successful in the workforce. Business students have access to Career Management Services which provide opportunities to review/write resumes, practice interviewing skills, and meet with potential employers. Companies will often contact career services and recruit current FIU students, over posting a public ad.
