"GT is a top ranked BME program for very good reason! The student life and academics are unparalleled. The community is vibrant, diverse and loves learning. It is a huge research institution with the brightest minds. Both undergraduate and graduate students participate in research, and the school also has many outreach opportunities to translate science in the community. The atmosphere is collegial but competitive."

"If you can think of an area of research, chances are that someone at Georgia Tech is doing something related. This diversity also means that there aren't necessarily many people doing that type of research."

"The Chemistry graduate program is a great program. There are some great professors there that care about research AND their students. It really is what you make of it, but I have learned a lot and am very glad I am a Yellow Jacket!"

"Overall, a really fantastic BME graduate program. Amazing student community, great faculty, etc. Really the only major downside is that all graduate students at Georgia Tech have to pay absorbent student fees that severely cut into your stipend (this realtes to the entire school, not the specific individual program)"

"The combination of affordability/competitive stipends and high quality education make the Psychology Program, especially engineering psychology, at the Georgia Institute of Technology one of the best values in the world. The Human Factors program at GT is arguably the most presitigous and productive Human Factors training program in the world. There is lots of funding for presenting at conferences. The professors in all the programs are nationally if not internationally recognized as experts in their research domains. The focus on rigorously designed research prepares one equally for positions in academia and industry alike. Additionally, the night life and activities of the Greater Atlanta area at an affordable price make GT a wonderful place to work and play!"

"I feel that my experience at Georgia Tech has been very good. There was a heavy workload for the courses of the first year, but it wasn't too overwhelming as long as you work together with your classmates. Overall, I like Atlanta a lot. I have also gotten along very well with the other students in my year and made several very good friends."

"The diversity of the research within the MSE department allows exposure to many topics, and access to experts in many areas. The heavy course load (37 credit hours) facilitates fundamental learning. The Graduate Student Advisory Group allows for feedback from students to be hear by administration, and offers departmental social events. Drawbacks include difficulty focusing on dissertation research due to classes and expensive fees/parking."

"The GT BME program is great because you have access to so many knowledgeable professors both at GT's campus as well as at Emory. It is very easy to find an expert in anything, whether you want to take a class or collaborate with someone. It's nice living in the south because of the weather, though the area around GT isn't that safe. For academic value, I fully recommend a GT grad program"
