Degree: Education
Graduation Year: 2017

I completed my degree in just under 4 years. Even though many of my classmates are frustrated because they are still working on their dissertations, I cant complain. I worked on my dissertation every day for 14 months and I finished. Done. I must say that you have to invest your entire being or else it is not going to happen. What motivated me was money. Dragging it out is costly. Best wishes! Dont give up press on.

Degree: Nursing
Graduation Year: 2019

I am a current graduate student at Grand Canyon University enrolled in a nursing program to receive my Master's in Public Health. I love the online platform. GCU makes it easy for students who are working to attend classes online with ease and flexibility. the course work is relevant to my field of practice. I highly recommend GCU to other working students.

Degree: Business
Graduation Year: 2013

During my first attempt to complete my bachelor's degree, and I was forced to take a delayed approach. I was referred to Grand Canyon University by a co-worker, so I began researching the programs relative to my major. After speaking with a representative and coordinator I began the enrollment process, and the flexibility of the online classroom was ideal. I really enjoyed the online atmosphere and the group setting offered with the courses, which allowed me to interact with my classmates as if I was on a campus. After graduation I decided to complete my Master's degree, however the cost of the classes have grown outside of my budget, but I'm determined to obtain my Master's degree.

I would highly recommend this program to prospective students. The flexibility of the online forum allowed me to maintain a full time job as a special education teacher as well as be a full time mom! The professors were highly knowledgeable and made the courses interesting. Great school!

Grand Canyon University is my "go to" school. I received my bachelors degree through GCU and just returned to continue with my masters degree. The staff are absolutely amazing, helpful, and very friendly. I grew very close to my advisor as she always called me to check in on me even while I took the year off between degrees. Financial counselor kept me up to date with all the finances and loans and everyone always answered any question I had (even when they may have sounded off the wall). Every instructor I have had were very educated in their department of what they were teaching and all the content presented was very detailed and informative which helped a lot when I got into the classroom to start teaching myself. GCU is by far the best college I have attended to online and I would not go anywhere else.

Degree: ESL
Graduation Year: 2011

Grand Canyon University online did not offer a rigorous program, although the modules were reasonably time-consuming. The degree served its purpose in that I have gotten many jobs because of holding the master's degree earned there. However, there could be substantial improvements made in the following areas: quality of online videos, communication with the instructors and classmates, and curriculum. Also, although GCU states that it has a Christian underpinning, there was never a hint of that in my entire program and the paradigms on the content were entirely secular.

I love that Grand Canyon University has an online program and works well with the students. The counselors are extremely friendly and work hard to ensure the student comes first and gets into all the classes they need to. The staff is always willing to help and accommodate the students in any way they can to make sure their college experience is great.

Degree: Organizational Leadership
Graduation Year: 2018

I am currently enrolled in the EdD program and starting the dissertation phase. I have found the program and studies rigorous. I like that the university begins prparation for the dissertation phase throughout the program. They make the requirements of the dissertation clear and there is a community dedicated to doctoral learners in the DC network. The professors have been helpful. Although there is brutal honesty, they really do want to help the learners to succeed and they do make themselves available. They also provide adequate feedback and provides adequate feedback on outcomes. The doctoral prorgram has most certainly improved my writing and doctoral level expectations.

Degree: Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care)
Graduation Year: 2018

Grand Canyon University is a great school. It has been very supportive. I am enrolled in an online program for Nurse Practitioners. Classes are already registered to a person in the program, and books are available online, taking away to stress on registering for classes and trying to order books. In addition, the counselor is available to answer any questions and they contact you immediately with any concerns My field advisor, helped my find clinical placement and help email all document of my profile to the hospital. Also, if you have any questions, they return your call immediately. They were very supportive when I had a difficult preceptor that was not very invested in my learning process. At this time, they offered encouragement and advised me on how to deal with this situation. They are very supportive and invested in the success of there students. They make to educational process smooth and are very caring. I am very happy with my experience so far, and would definitely recommend this school. I have learned so much with their programs, such as a virtual patient you can talk to, assess and diagnose. The material is very interactive, which makes the program effective and helps you learn the material well. The professors provide feedback and are available to answer questions. Again, I would recommend this program to anyone pursuing their Nurse Practitioner degree.

Any time I had a question concerning classes or finances, I had an immediate response. When professors would respond to my papers, the responses were meaningful and helpful. When the site was done for maintenance, the school made sure students and staff knew way in advance. My overall experience has been a very positive one, and that is why I am attending GCU for my Doctorate.
