Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2018

I have now been attending GCU for a year this August and am in the Masters of Professional Counseling program. I have worked in the behavioral and mental health field for 4+ years now and had decided to go back to school for my masters to continue to be able to provide support and help the world become better, one child at a time. I love GCU and feel that it has been a great program. Tons of support for the professors and great cohort class. My only cons are the cost of the program (and the length) as well as the school not being fully accredited, though they are working on this!

Grand Canyon University has so far met all of my needs and wishes in a doctoral program. My student services advisor has been with me every step of the way, and with them, communication is key. I am never unsure about where I stand, and they make all of the information that I need easily accessible. As a full time mother and teacher, going to school online at GCU has not been a burden at all. I completed my Master's degree last year with them and went directly into a Ph.D program with no hesitation. They make learning fun and rewarding with the use of technology and project based learning. I am looking forward to continuing my studies with this wonderful university.

There are many pro's and only one con about this program. My favorite thing about GCU is that it is a Christian University and is grounded on a great vision and mission. The customer service provided by my enrollment counselor is excellent! The faculty are very helpful and quick to respond. The only thing I could say that needs improving would be that they could have more cohort locations around the country for those that would like to go to the classroom once a week.

I think the school can try to shorten the length of the MBA program. A year would be ok.

I obtained my Undergrad degree at Grand Canyon University and I am currently studying for my Masters of science in Professional Counseling. I think the school has a great network and use of technology. Their academic advisors arent always prompt, therefore you struggle a little bit to get the information you need, bu the school overall is a great school !
