GCU is an excellent institution. As an online student, I am not able to sufficiently comment on transportation, campus safety, social life, or surrounding area. My experience has been wonderful and I am considering furthering my education with GCU.

Grand Canyon University has proven to have a dynamic online program that is both challenging and stimulating in it's set-up of required participation. I have found the staff to be helpful and available, answering questions and providing help when needed in a timely manner. As a full time teacher and mother to two children under three years of age, the organization of the program allows me to learn and work on my time, and communicates class expectations clearly. I have read many reviews lately about how for-profit colleges and universities care only for churning out degrees and not at all about their student success, but that could not be more incorrect in what I have experienced in the last 10 months at Grand Canyon. I am impressed with the professionalism of the staff, the organization of the program, and as a high school teacher myself, the challenges and higher learning each class has provided. Going into my Master's program I was concerned about the quality of the meaningful work I would be assigned, and I am happy to report that Grand Canyon has challenged me and required me to work hard through my learning to earn my degree. As a BS graduate from a non-profit university, I feel Grand Canyon is lacking in nothing in comparison, and highly recommend it for future students seeking an online gradute degree.

So far the school has been great. I had my choices of other schools but I am glad I chose GCU.

The option to pursue the counseling degree from GCU online is advantageous for those that want to advance further in education but are unable to leave their immediate surrounding area. The ease of accessibility allows me to always stay on top of my course work and maintain a solid gpa.

My graduate program is perfect for me because I am a full time Supervisor and a full time Mom. The online environment works for me because I can work when I need to and I can study when I have time. I also like being able to go back to the lecture more than once so I get all I can out of it. I have a learning disability that makes it difficult to learn in a classroom setting with the many distractions that are there. I also love GCU because my questions are answered within 24 hours of asking them, I actually feel as though I get more personal help in the online setting than I did in classroom settings. I never have to wait for an office hour. GCU has assigned me an academic adviser that calls me regularly to make sure everything is going well and to answer any questions I may have about my program. The tech support is quick and helpful with any problems I may have with the online studies. I chose Grand Canyon University because they have a strong program for the child development student. I am also working on my K-3 credential.

Degree: Business
Graduation Year: 2014

The overall MBA Online program fills in the gaps to allow you to achieve the next level in your career after receiving your Undergraduate degree and working in the industry. There are areas of opportunity for the online program such as their use of a quiz program that does not tell you what answers you incorrectly answered. And the marketing class doesn't help the students learn about marketing as much as it does about meeting deadlines. The leadership, economics and statistics classes are valuable. Plan on a lot of group work in the qualitative courses.

Some of the questions I couldn't answer because I am strictly online, if so the star rating would be higher. However the online community promotes positive and healthy conversations in the forums. Critical thinking is strongly encouraged. The staff as in my enrollment counselor, academic/financial counselor, and professors are very helpful. They communicate with you on a regular to make sure that you are doing well in your classes.
