GCU has offered a great online learning environment so far. I haven't had much interaction on campus, as I am enrolled in an online program, but the times I have visited, I was pleased. There is a variety of opportunities for online participation. Great program so far.

GCU is a good school, the teachers are helpful but the education should be cheaper for online students.

Some of the question I can not answer to as I am an online Student. Overall I have enjoyed my experience with Grand Canyon University however even being a Veteran the cost to attend is a bit high.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2015

The ability to take one course at a time allows me to balance work and school. The courses are informative, challenging, and intriguing. I wish that the professors were more experienced in the counseling fields. I also wish the program was CACREP accredited so that applying for licensure would be more simple.

Degree: Nursing
Graduation Year: 2015

This program is composed of nurses who are interested in advancing their career by becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. Thus, we are all driven to succeed, because we want to do this for ourselves. However, some of the professors do not push us to succeed. Overall, peer accountability and support and networking is the biggest pro of this program.

Degree: Curriculum & Instruction
Graduation Year: 2014

The program allows for the adult to learn in an environment which collaboration and communication are stressed, encouraged and in many instances demanded. The instructors allowed the student to learn at a pace which is reasonable with clear access to them daily. I could not ask for a better program and better yet, a better university.

Degree: Counseling

The con is my program is only online and I miss the classroom interaction. The pro is they help me prepare for state licensure which no other school in Arizona does!

Degree: Elementary Education
Graduation Year: 2015

At this present time there are no cons against the Elementary program that I am currently in. Everyone is attentive to my needs as an online student which is pretty impressive when taking classes from an online environment.
