Grand Canyon University is a great university. I would highly recommend this university especially the doctoral program because of the integration of the dissertation into the curriculum. That way there is no scramble at the end to do the entire dissertation, it gets completed while you are still in classes ideally finishing at the same time your classes end or slightly there after.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2018

Grand Canyon University is one of the only schools that has aloud me to continue to work full time and pursue this degree online. I knew that this is what I wanted to do but had a very difficult time finding a school that would be a good fit for my schedule. I was originally going to attend on campus but when my work schedule changed, they were happy to convert me to the online program. They take the time to train you to navigate their online platform, check in on you regularly to ensure you are doing well or if they can be of more assistance should you need it. They also have great tutoring services both on campus and online as well! The enrollment advisors are great and very helpful. However, the financial aid office is not great at helping you pursue scholarship opportunities once you start classes. If you are military affiliated, they do give you a scholarship to start that is good for your entire degree plan as long as you do not take a prolonged leave of absence so I did give them 4 stars for that!

Graduation Year: 2018

Grand Canyon University is a school that someone can call a home. It's not just for education. It's a place where you can go and be friends with your professors and classmates. It's different than just a typically university where as theirs thousands of students. GCU has a smaller class of students and everyone who needs help can get hep when needed. It's a small school that is getting bigger everyday. If you live in the Phoenix,AZ area you will see how they are creating more and more building down the road. Lastly, Grand Canyon is a school that will reach to a national level one day for their education. The sports at the school will get better and better now since basketball is transitioning to NCAA D-1 level. Also, if you love soccer as much as I do, then you'll enjoy the HUGE SOCCER FIELD THEY HAVE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CAMPUS. Grand Canyon is a place where I can call home. Ether you are doing your education online or in person. You will always have someone there when you're in need.

Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2016

Although Grand Canyon University is a Christian-based institute of higher learning, their student demographic draws on a variety of backgrounds. During my studies I had classmates of nearly every imaginable political, social, and religious stripe. This provided for some interesting dialog when discussing psychological concepts and theories which in turn contributed to a deeper understanding of a given topic's subjective nature. Course instructors were, for the most part, competent professionals in their field who made reasonable efforts to assist students in their success (granted, there were rare exceptions to this, as could be expected in most any university). Although the degree I earned does not prepare for independent licensure, it is a solid foundation broadly applicable to a variety of industries, resulting in a career change for me upon graduation. While the occasional spiritual aspects that tend to work their way into conversations may be a turn-off for some, keep in mind that not only is this a Christian university at its heart but also exposes the non-religious to a representative sample of a large percentage of society, granting unique insight regarding how a good number of Americans view and approach problems. Definitely recommended!

Degree: Teaching
Graduation Year: 2010

This college has been wonderful in helping me to reach my goal in obtaining my Master's degree in Reading Teacher Education. They have gone above and beyond in helping me to apply, find funding, and are available for any questions that I may have. The counselor that I am working with is also there to help me in scheduling of classes with the promise of help with classes, if needed.

Degree: Public Administration
Graduation Year: 2018

I completed my undergraduate degree at a public state university and am now completing my graduate degree at Grand Canyon University. From the moment I first stepped on campus, I could immediately feel the difference between the two. At GCU, you are not a number--you are cared for as a person and guided every step of the way towards a smooth enrollment. Post enrollment, the staff are still making sure you are doing ok, asking if you have any questions, or guiding you to different resources that will make you successful in your studies. The resources this university has astounds me and helps you immensely in the difficult process of writing graduate-level academic papers. I couldn't be happier with my experience thus far at GCU! Go Lopes!

Grand Canyon University had some of the best instructors around. The instructors were well educated and experienced. The GCU staff is very helpful in ensuring you are prepared for classes. You will be glad you chose this school. I am excited and motivated to attend courses every week. The business program has been very challenging but rewarding.

Degree: Organizational Leadership
Graduation Year: 2018

Grand Canyon University is a Christian faith based school with outstanding professor's who care about their students. The staff who helped with my enrollment was extremely helpful and walked me through each step of the process. They would call me to ensure I was doing ok and to see if I needed anything from them. GCU staff called me on my first day of class just to see if everything was working out. A few days before my class began I was called by GCU to do a walk through of their online program so I was not lost. I felt as if I was their priority and nothing was going to distract them from helping me out. In short I really felt like I was being treated like family.
