Henderson State University's MAT program is one of the top MAT programs in the state of Arkansas. The professors are very knowledgeable and willing to help students achieve their goal. I would highly recommend Henderson State University to anyone seeking an undergrad or graduate degree.

Pros of the graduate program is it offers skills and tools to be used in working with families of children with disabilities. Cons of the graduate program is some information would be better understood by the class if it was taught in class rather than online. Overall, my experience has been a positive one.

The graduate school is very well run. Each student of the MLA program is required to take the TOB classes, which are great classes where we speak more in depth about important works of literature we may have just skimmed over in our previous education, and the teachers take it further and teach us to see how all aspects are connected: the history of the time period in which it was written, the society of people, the psychology of the people, political and economical aspects, etc. These classes set the tone for the MLA program and what we are expected to take on and how students should consider all aspects of any given area of study.

My program offers top-quality professors with relevant experience to my field of study. They are willing to help guide students on the best path towards their future careers and do their best to make the environment feel more like a family setting to make students comfortable.
