"I thoroughly enjoyed my college experience. I came into college with a lot of credits from high school and I enrolled in the college's honor program. This enabled me to take a lot of classes outside my major, so I got a very well rounded education."

"Hofstra is good school with small class sizes the vast majority of the time. The campus is beautiful (it is an aboritum with statues throughout). The students are very helpful and anyone would be happy to tell you about teachers and classes they've had. There is a Greek presents on campus but it is a small fraction of campus life. Intramural sports draw almost as large a crowd as the collegiate teams, which may speak more to the schools disinterest in sports more than anything else."

"Hofstra University's Masters in Health Administration is an excellent program with affiliation to the Northwell Health system. This opens a lot of doors to career opportunities while still in the program and after graduation. A con is that the program is very expensive with little financial support."

"This program has been extremely enriching and challenging (but in a helpful and healthy way) thus far. My cohort in the MFT program is fairly small, but I prefer it that way; it allows for more interpersonal connections between students as well as with the professors and rest of the clinical staff. I feel there is a great support system established for the students and help is always available. The only true negative is the cost of the program. It is a lengthy graduate program, 3 years long, which I definitely feel is necessary in this field to acquire the proper experience, but at $1,200 a credit it puts a hefty stress on one's bank account. Overall the program is wonderful, the staff is warm, inviting, helpful, and they truly care about their students' success. I would not change my decision to enter this program if I had the chance to."

"Hofstra is a good school that embraces the fact that they are so close to NYC. While the majority of your time will be spent on campus, some classes, and most departments schedule trips into the city to broaden student experiences."

"The few pros, but certainly not limited to are the knowledgeable professors, intimate classroom setting, and independence. The professors are skilled individuals that are specialized in their area of expertise. Questions are encouraged as well as critical thinking. An Intimate classroom experience allows for special attention when required. One on one learning is common, in addition to extra help. Hofstra supplies their students with a sense of independence. Students are allowed to choose their placement for their required internships. Normally, schools decide this for the student, but Hofstra encourages students to venture out and find our passion."

"Their scholarship is very difficult to maintain even if your GPA is sufficient. Too much emphasis on one final is very stressful, considering it is worth over 85%. However, the staff is pretty helpful and there is a great use of technology which is a positive."

"The pros of my graduate program is that my class sizes are small and I really get to have a relationship with my professor. The cons of my graduate program is that it can be expensive, however, it is worth it because it is a very thorough and well planned program."

"The health care administration program at Hofstra University is a very good one. The faculty is well trained and has a lot of experience in the field. They are also very inviting and provide a lot of career advice. The classes are also very good and interesting and students learn a lot about real-life situations. I encourage this program to anyone looking to have a career in health administration."

"The PR graduate program at Hofstra is great. Some of the pro's include the networking opportunities, the resources, accessibility of some of the professors, and the education quality. However, there are some cons that need to be addressed. I am aware that the program is only in its second year, but there needs to be more visibility and steps taken to bring awareness of this new program. In addition to that, classes should be offered in the day time as well, with the option to take more than one class a day. Perhaps even hire more professors who are not just adjunct. Lastly, there needs to be opportunities for graduate students within the program to connect and work with one another outside of the classroom."

"As a part time student in a brand new grad program, I love that the class size is small. I generally have about 10-11 people in my class and we really get one on one attention from our Professors. Since the program is new there are only night programs available. I am hoping that weekend courses and winter courses will be available at some point in my college experience. Since my courses are at night and I am coming straight from work, I barely get a chance to explore the campus activities and organizations. I wish there was more available for commuters in the grad programs."

"Although i enjoyed learning and taking the Political Science Major at Hofstra, i found that when i went out in the world it did nothing to help me get a job or help me to get a focus on what career path i would end up pursuing. I must say however that i did intend to study law further after graduating but that never happened and as a result in retrospect it might have been more productive studying a different major."

"Choosing to attend the Hofstra University Physician Assistant program has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. It is a community truly dedicated to advancing the physician assistant profession and providing students with the skills necessary to provide the highest quality health care possible to the community. As a student I have been able to pursue every opportunity I desired with the full support of the faculty and staff. I would highly recommend anyone considering applying to PA school to apply to Hofstra University"

"The forensic linguistics master's degree at Hofstra University is the only one of it's kind in the United States which makes it extraordinarily unique and highly specialized. The professors who run the program and teach many courses are some of the most highly trained and most educated instructors I have ever had. Because of their outside work, they have access to real data that creates a more hands on and interactive classroom for the students. Even the students in the program are all extremely intelligent and offer so much to the program as a whole. It is an incredible environment that serves as such a strong basis for research and further studies and every student is highly encouraged and extremely motivated. It is a phenomenal program and I am so happy to be a part of it!!"
