The school provides a quality education for the tuition. Parking is terrible. Required group work is tricky given language barriers.

i went for inclusive elementary special education at Hofstra university and took many classes that gave me the educational tools to fulfill my job as a teacher and also the hands-on training in the field that gave me an adequate amount of experience that gave me confidence to teach.

Degree: Public Health
Graduation Year: 2017

I cannot say enough about the education and opportunities I'm receiving at Hofstra. I've had the opportunity to start a community based organization, attend a professional conference paid for by Hofstra, and network with professionals in my field. Our professors are active and knowledgeable in the field of Public Health and our students are active in taking advantage of all the opportunities presented to them. My time at Hofstra has been the best experience of my life as it has defined my career goals as well as the path that is set before me.

Hofstra University's Masters in Health Administration is an excellent program with affiliation to the Northwell Health system. This opens a lot of doors to career opportunities while still in the program and after graduation. A con is that the program is very expensive with little financial support.

This is a small program in an large university which means that I get to build relationships with my fellow grad students while still enjoying the amenities of a large college.

Degree: Fitness Trainer
Graduation Year: 2016

As an out of state student, i found it challenging to find housing. Therefore i decide to live on campus and complete my degree in a year, while transferring in 6 credits. Although the workload and expectations are demanding, the professors are very helpful and encourage creativity. My 1st semester here taught me how to write on a professional level. The second semester was more of the scientific approaches to the strength and conditioning field. From the beginning, the networking opportunities and projects available were immense. Professors are very responsive to their emails, and answer questions during class. They also do a fantastic job of teaching you what skills a professional would need in the field. Cons: the classes are in the early evening, so it is difficult sometimes to find work to accommodate that schedule. Additionally, it is approximately $3600/class, but for the reasons above it is very much worth it.

Degree: Law
Graduation Year: 2015

LL.M in American Legal System will enable me master on American legal system and academically equip me and make me eligible to sit for the Bar exams. Besides, adding to my law profession with better law degree of masters from the U.S college/university is one of the rare opportunities I'll forever live to appreciate. Although as a result of differences in Nigerian legal systems of which I've got my first degree, with the American legal system, there is bound to be complexity in undergoing the present program, the reward of the challenge is worth it.

I enjoy the subject matter and the hands-on opportunities in class. The research components are very comprehensive and beneficial for internships I hope to gain in the future.
