Student & Graduate Reviews

Degree: Theology

I am satisfied with the education I received at Holy Apostles. The program is orthodox and rigorous, although at times, I felt the professors could have contributed more of themselves to the classes, which focus around texts. Some classes involved work outside of the content of the class that was orthogonal to the goals of the class like making PowerPoints when writing papers would have sufficed.

Holy Apostles offers a great, rigorous program. It is truly challenging and I have gained more from a couple classes here than all my other schooling combined. I am consistently impressed with the online program and the Populi dashboard is easy to navigate and participate in your courses. If you are looking for a top-notch degree in Theology or Philosophy, I highly recommend Holy Apostles College and Seminary.

Pros: Holy Apostles offers a program of theological studies in a traditional Roman Catholic vein. What is even more unique, is that college students have the benefit of studying alongside seminarians (candidates for the priesthood). Traditionally, in the Catholic Church, seminarians have their own schools that are set apart from the world. Holy Apostles offers a unique model in which both seminarians and laity work side by side, fostering that sense of unity and cooperation which both groups will need to succeed in their future life. Cons: Despite its strong philosophical and theological program, course offerings in other fields are weak. In addition, there is no on-campus housing for lay students, and the small town environment that the college is located in can make apartment searching a pain.
