"Overall, the program is filled with good professors who are willing to help and guide you, however, the program is beginning to lack stability seeing as though many professors are retiring and the department is still has filled positions for next semester. The school in general caters to it Ph.D students in terms of funding. As a Masters student with a 4.0 GPA, I have had the hardest time trying to get some sort of financial assistance from the school/department."

"Students are very helpful of one another in and out of the classroom as well as the faculty. Howard is expensive, but it was worth the experience."

"Howard is a great university to set you up for your next career move, if you can get passed the administrative challenges that you would be presented with."

"Pros - Small size of program allows for personal attention from admin and professors, as well as knowing ALL classmates personally - Great resources for career development and job placement"

"The pros of this school are its legacy and the different majors and educational programs offered. The cons are with the administration and the support for students. There is also the lack of financial aid provided with the increasing tuition, room and board, etc."

"As a occupational therapy student at Howard University, I am pleased with my decision to relocate to the DMV area for my graduate studies. The diversity of the area, as well as the program itself, allows my horizons to be broadened trifold. The amount of work is typical for a graduate program; the disorganization of the courses and professors sometimes gets frustrating, but overall, the school is a great place to be."

"The Howard University School of Social Work is overall a good program that is staffed with faculty that are currently working in the field. The faculty is easily accessible to students and the workload varies from fairly extensive to rigourous depending on the course taken. The one thing I would change about the program is for them to offer a Mezzo prgram in addition to the Macro and Micro programs."

"The pros of the Master of Music Education program are different classes that will enhance me for what I wish to do with my Masters. The cons are the selection of courses that are offered in the School of Education which do not really help those of us in the arts."
