Student & Graduate Reviews

3.33 out of 5.0
Degree: Architecture
Graduation Year: 2017

IIT is a fantastic school for Architecture thanks to its history, curriculum, and staff. However, the high price and little financial aid make it a difficult school to attend.
3.5 out of 5.0
Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2019

Getting a clinical psychology PhD at a technical school that is APA accredited makes me competitive in the work force because I have an education based in technology and evidence.
4.83 out of 5.0
Degree: Physics
Graduation Year: 2018

Classes are small, professors are great, and there are many opportunities to do research at the near by DOE labs, such as Argonne and Fermilab.
1.75 out of 5.0
Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2016

IIT has much to offer students: access to city life and numerous internship opportunities as well as knowledgeable and experienced faculty. However, even though it's a relatively small school with smaller class sizes, there are still times when I feel like more of a number or part of a quota than an individual with personal goals and ideas.
4.17 out of 5.0
Degree: Computer Science
Graduation Year: 2017

School is great. Surroundings are not safe, but the school takes special care about the safety of students. Education quality is phenomenal. Professors are very helping, soft spoken, cheerful. one feels comfortable around them and this helps in better understanding of the subject. College has ample of recreational activities to take mind off studies every now and then and get involved in extra-curricular activities. A great school to be in.

Degree: Engineering
Graduation Year: 2016

The Master of Structural Engineering program has been challenging and rewarding thus far. After I received my undergraduate degree I spent some time working and going back to graduate school has allowed me to dive a deeper into structural engineering. My professors have been terrific. I have taken courses on campus and online. When I transferred out of the country for two years for my job my advising professor even worked with me to set up independent learning options. I've learned a lot and would recommend IIT's Structural Master's program to any structural engineer looking to further their education.

Expecting good overall growth at Illinois Institute of Technology
4.08 out of 5.0
Degree: Electrical Engineering

The convenience of online classes is the best thing about IIT. Good but demanding professors that are easily accessible, which is made possible by the relatively small class size
