Degree: Liberal Studies
Graduation Year: 2015

Pros: IUPUI allows you the opportunity to take courses from the medical school and the medical school staff in order to prepare you for medical school as well as increase the attractiveness of your application. The professors are very accessible and are willing to help you succeed. For the most part, the professors are able to separate their research with teaching. They actually care about teaching and their students doing well. They are also willing to help you achieve your future goals, no matter what those may be. Cons: There is a lot of work and sometimes the professors are hard to understand. While they care about teaching, sometimes they don't know how to do so effectively. There are very few scholarships available and funding is only available to Ph.D students or through research.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2014

Overall, this graduate program is very competitive and provides an excellent foundation for counselor and counseling ed. study. The only con I would comment to is that a Phd-level program in this realm is not available at the Indianapolis campus.

Degree: Law
Graduation Year: 2017

McKinney Law has great professors and great support staff. I have had nothing but great experiences so far through school at McKinney Law. The access to resources for students is amazing. I have had repeated conversations with the Dean of the law school as he walks through campus. The professors are knowledgeable and very personal. I am proud to say that I attend McKinney Law.

Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2009

I was in the year long accelerated program. It fit my schedule and lifestyle very well. There was a good mix of traditional and non traditional students which created an enriched learning environment. The professors were very personable, approachable, and knowledgeable. I was a non traditional student with a child at home so I did not attend any extracurricular activities at the school or surrounding area. I lived about 1 1/2 hours from the school so I was only on campus for classes. My schedule allowed me to only be there for one day a week which was very nice. I highly recommend attending IUPUI!

Degree: Liberal Studies
Graduation Year: 2015

I enjoy my course since it is very specific and different from the rest. It is a multi-disciplinary course. The faculty is highly qualified and cutting edge technologies were available for our project work. The school is beautiful and located in downtown. I would definitely recommend it.

Degree: Law
Graduation Year: 2016

This graduate program is very intensive. The JD program is very rigorous and time consuming. The MA in Philosophy is an interesting program that allows students the option of either pursuing a general philosophy degree or concentrating in biomedical ethics. I am pursuing the combined JD/MA which concentrates on Health Law and Biomedical Ethics. I am in the first year of the JD program, but from my experience so far I would say that this is an excellent program. The professors are fantastic and the faculty are friendly and very helpful. This school might not be as prestigious as Harvard or Yale, but it is a great school with many unique opportunities. I am participating this summer in the Chinese Summer Law Program which is hosted by this law school in conjunction with Renmin University in Beijing, China. This is just one of the amazing opportunities offered by this school. Overall, I would say this is a great school with many unique programs.

Degree: Physical Therapy
Graduation Year: 2016

For in-state tuition, a very good bargain compared to other programs. Not much diversity in my class, but the school as a whole is very diverse. Professors are very personal and willing to assist students as needed. Right in downtown Indianapolis, so plenty of transportation, housing, and social options.

Degree: Biology
Graduation Year: 2010

This program is what you make of it. The professors are willing to meet with you and form strong connections but it is up to the student to reach out. The same goes for the social aspect. Personally, I made great friends in this program because I was always looking for opportunities to join study groups as well as participating in social functions. Most people I am close to that completed this program with me have gone on to the professional school they were planning to and only a handful have not done anything since graduation. I do feel having this program on my CV has helped me gain acceptance to my professional school.
