Degree: Library Science
Graduation Year: 2015

Choosing a people oriented field that involves sharing a great amount of information was what I ideally wanted when I chose to attend the only Library Sciences program in the state of Indiana, however, with the majority of their classes transitioning to being offered only online, it makes it difficult to meet people and practice what we are learning. Professors and adjuncts make an effort to get students to get to know each other through assignments on social outlets such as Facebook, but that hardly makes up for meeting people face to face. However, IUPUI does a great job of allowing students to take their time to complete the coursework, especially since graduate students are busy enough as it is.

Degree: Non-Profit Management
Graduation Year: 2015

The pros of my program are that it is rated 6th in the country, and the networking possibilities are vast. The classes are tailored for practical application towards whatever concentration you want to pursue, whether it is Nonprofit Management or Urban Sustainability. The cons are that most of the classes are at night since it caters to working students, which for someone going to school full time can be a negative. Another con is that the Indy transportation scene is really non-existent, so students have to bike or drive to campus.

Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2016

The positives are that the teachers are mindful of the students ability and provide the challenges to shape them academically. The negatives are that there are many students who are not really serious about attending the school which makes it difficult for the ones who are serious to operate, especially in group assignments

Degree: Occupational Therapy
Graduation Year: 2014

I love how research focused we are, because it really helps me realize that I need to support my choice of treatment with what research says. I am now able to think in a research mindset. I love the staff, they are all so passionate about their work and are very friendly. Finally, I love the environment of being in downtown Indianapolis and the opportunities that it gives us.

Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2016

I'm very happy with my experience at IUPUI so far. I'm grateful to be among likeminded individuals in a learning environment. As a full-time employee, wife and mother I appreciate the flexibility of our programs Saturday cohort.

Degree: Liberal Arts
Graduation Year: 2014

I am entering my first semester in graduate school to obtain a Master's degree in Music Technology. So far in the process, I have experienced great responsiveness from faculty. The staff has been incredibly helpful and supportive, as well. The course program was clearly explained and the prerequisites were defined in depth. Career options were laid out for future decisions, as well. In addition to enrolling in graduate studies at IUPUI, I also obtained a Bachelor's degree in English from the institution. In that time, I have nothing negative to state about the school. The technology provided was exceptional and current, as well. From everything I know and through experience with the school, I would recommend it for anyone interested.
