Degree: School Counseling
Graduation Year: 2020

I recently began classes at Indiana University South Bend and could not be happier with my decision. This will be my 2nd master's degree and I was concerned about having difficulty returning to school after almost a decade of not being in college. Faculty and staff are pleasant and easy to work with and have gotten me on track to achieve the degree I need for my "dream job" as a school counselor.

Interesting interdisciplinary program designed primarily for working adults who need to earn a higher level degree.

Degree: Information Technology
Graduation Year: 2016

The Management of information technologies program is dead/dying. They've stopped enrollment into the program. They continually cancel classes which students need to graduate due to low enrollment and thereby postpone the graduation semester for students in the program. The teachers are sub par and the course content is old and out of date. Do not go into this program at IUSB.

Degree: Business
Graduation Year: 2015

Directionless program. Program Chair and many faculty aren't good at their jobs, don't seem to work hard, make classes up as they go. Courses are out of date for technology.

Degree: MBA
Graduation Year: 2015

IUSB offers a high quality education at a very good price. The classes are generally applicable to the real world and have an acceptable workload. IUSB realizes that it's masters programs is for people who work full time and have designed it around that concept. The worst aspects of the business school is the variability of professor quality. There are some amazing professors at IUSB and at the same time there are certain professors who should be fired immediately. If you're look for a high quality education at a good price and can get by the bad professors, IUSB is the school for you.

Degree: Public Administration
Graduation Year: 2016

I am currently pursuing an MPA degree. The course load I am getting not only looks at the theoretical but allows me to do practical work which allows me to be fully prepared. The faculty is available to work with me and are very helpful and insightful.

Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2014

The Master of Social Work program at IU South Bend is quite competitive to be accepted into. Once accepted, the professors and advisers provide the support and guidance necessary for students to succeed. Practical applications are discussed in the classroom, and students are assigned to locations for real life experiences in the social work field. By utilizing both textbook learning and real world learning, students have a firmer grip on what it truly means to have a career in social work. Classes are engaging, and professors keep students interested, while being available outside of the classroom as well. IU South Bend might be a small campus, but the education is huge.
