*I was an I-SEAL student*. Indiana Wesleyan was terrible with communication. I would call someone or email and never hear back. The admissions rep told me that I would be able to get all of my practicum hours at my current work (elementary), but after the program started and I was halfway through my class, they informed me that I would have to go to a high school for part of it (even though my initial license is in elementary). They also told me that my credits from my master's degree in reading... Read More

I hate to post this, but everyone should know not to take the Transition to Teaching program through this college. I have not had any instructor or assignments graded for over 2 weeks, and the grades and feedback are needed for making corrections for the following week's assignments. This is the final week of the first class, and I am finally getting feedback on my lesson plan assignment from a retired educator who works with my wife. I should have done the Ball State TTT program, and I still might.... Read More

Will not give me my transcripts due to their financial aid error! 4 degrees and a certification and due to their error I can’t get my transcripts! They do not prepare online students for internships/practicums no support at all! No support and the financial aid office always have new people and they don’t know how to apply aid correctly

I can honestly say from the day I enrolled everyone I spoke too been very knowledgeable and nice. As a single mother, I work 2 jobs online gives me the flexibility to complete my work. If I have questions and call the school everyone is available to speak too. I am currently completing my Associates Degree I graduate in 4/25 and I plan too keep going to get my BSW-MSW along with sitting for the state license. I took two online class and regretted it for years. The school advisor are truly heartless. I feel like I communicated my vulnerability (I had a close family member die suddenly) they took advantage of me being ready to continue with more classes (talking me into continuing). I’m really happy I did not continue with more classes. I waited until I was ready and went to SIUE where I did wonderful. I’ve been at IWU for a few years and continue to encounter coursework that has absolutely no direction and the information they give to complete the work is like 10 years old. Getting really tired of trying to find workarounds because what they offer isn’t the current methods used, and on top of that I’m being charged like $700 for useless resources that aren’t even current! If you want to actually learn this is not the school. Looking more and more like a degree mill!!

I have been in this University for a couple of months. There are so many useless classes that have nothing to do with your degree. You cannot have a work/life balance because you have so many assignments each week and so many discussions you have to write about and reply to others. Some of the discussions and assignments are not clear on what they are asking of you. I am a full time employee, I do not have time to do all of these assignments. I cannot even imagine having children and working full... Read More

IWU is a great school that offers the flexibility of earning a degree while you work full time. Do not mistake flexibility with easy. The workload was difficult at times and stretched me personally, academically, and spiritually. It is an online program and it takes grit to do this program. As with any school there are a few faculty who can be difficult but for the most part the faculty bare accommodating and gracious. Loved my time at IWU!

Most of the classes I have been have been run by classmates I have seen in other courses. Out of all of the classes I have been a part of so far, I think I have actually learned from maybe 2 of them. The rest of the classes were useless and you are basically given 100% on everything regardless. Also, if you are a student or considering being one NEVER called student services for help. I recently moved and it was right around the time they sent out financial aid checks. I simply called to ask if my... Read More

I have received an Associates's, a Bachelors and soon I will finish my MBA at IWU Adult Studies. This program isn't for everyone. It is online and it takes a lot of work and perseverance. I am an over 40 learner and learning does not come easy, but I really wanted it. If you cannot work independently, do not sign up online. Find a college with a campus. Otherwise, IWU is everything. I have already doubled my earnings since I started my schooling here several years ago. Good luck! Oh, did I mention?... Read More

This MBA program at IWU is terrible. It is a cookie cutter program which depends solely on each students ability to self learn. The professors offer little to no help and the other university resources are lacking. I truly regret choosing this school to pursue my MBA.

This college is a degree mill. After submitting my transcripts I was told I would graduate in about 10 months. Two years later the day finally came. I was assigned a school VA representative that had absolutely no clue about the VA and it's processes or what benefits military members should and should not receive. The only professors with Doctorate credentials taught religious based courses that I was forced to take. The college illegally double dipped using my full national guard tuition and %40... Read More

Would I recommend his school? I wouldn’t recommend this school. The teachers are mean, staff gossips about you. They force beliefs more than the curriculum itself. They leave you hanging a lot. Like, you can be waiting for class to start and then like, a week later, they send you an email saying you took a leave of absence. If a teacher don’t like you? She’ll pass your email around. Then it just goes downhill from there. If you like robots teaching you with old photos of office clerks? By all means!... Read More

Learner beware. This is a diploma mill. Do not sign up for this school online. The marketing firm they employ to act as admissions counselors will lie to you to get you to enroll. Firstly your degree read Bachelors of Science without any concentration noted. Your transcripts will read "General Studies" because that's actually what you've signed up for. All of the textbooks I had throughout my 2 years at this school were at least five years old. It's 2019 and one textbook they sent me was written... Read More

They kept telling me the work load would lessen, but it increased. Expect to write four significant papers each week. Expect to spend 20 hours each week to complete the assignments. Do not attend this school for FNP. Curriculum does not match what is required. I was disappointed with the curriculum matching what was required. I went with the 'rental books' which was what was recommended, yet I found that the curriculum in classes did not match the curriculum for the class. Biostatistics class was way over what most FNP needs to know. It must be a "weeding out" class...if that is needed. I dropped out of this program so I could start over in another program. I am an American living abroad, and I was able to complete my degree via online at IWU. I was pleasantly surprised with the help I received from my professors, the book store, and everyone else at the school. I absolutely LOVED the online program. I highly recommend the online program at IWU if you are a working adult, looking to finish up a degree.
