"JMU is definitely one of Virginia's best kept secrets. Nestled in the Shenandoah Valley, JMU is not only a beautiful campus but it's filled with beautiful people from he inside out, always looking for the next way to give back to the school and community of Harrisonburg. There are always fun events going on on and off campus, so feel free to try lots of new things! And the education I received in Biology has better prepared me for dental school (I am now a 2nd year dental student) than students in my class from UVA and VT."

"JMU is wonderful. I came from a small school in undergraduate and JMU has been so welcoming and wonderful. I was nervous about the size, but the program is so tight and close that I don't feel uncomfortable at all. I would recommend this program to anyone looking for a Master's Degree in the Kinesiology field."

"Tell us about your college experience.I had a great time at school. I decided to change my major when I transferred to JMU, and though I haven't yet gotten a job in what my major was, I know it is just a matter of time and staying positive. The school was a good fit for me and it was a great learning experience for me while I was there.Would you get the same degree if you could start over?If I had the chance to go back to school I would if I didn't have to pay, though I would go into the College of Business so that I would have a better chance of a job right out of graduation. What advice can you offer other students?I would tell them to go to school to learn and get your work done and also have fun while doing it. The time goes by faster than you think so make the most of it while you can before you enter the real world of work."

"James Madison University's graduate kinesiology program is more than suitable for the future exercise science professional. With an emphasis on development through research, the kinesiology grad becomes well-equipped to perform real world reasoning and application in the exercise field. I am confident that my thesis, in which I plan to incorporate the relatively recent acceptance of the mind-body connection in Western medicine and behavior modification strategies, will benefit from the resources James Madison University can provide and, therefore, will be of benefit to others aiming to improve their health and well-being."
