I'm currently having financial challenges in my life. I am only a few classes away from completing the program, and my school district is aggressively waiting for my completion so they may hire me as a full-time teacher.

Great online program. The courses were valuable and the course work load was manageable. Knowledgeable faculty.

JIU had great program offerings and because it was all online it fit my schedule perfectly. The school left a bit to be desired in terms of support after graduation to move on to either continue my education or job placement. The instructors were great and although the workload was heavy, I think it more than prepared me for a career.

Jones International University it a good online option for earning a degree. It is affordable, flexible with good course material. Some courses can lack in interaction and depth, depending on the contributions of other peers. As a graduate program, it lacks the benefits of a campus program, such as networking and face-to-face interaction. Keep in mind that some employers or doctorate programs may not accept degrees earned online or hold them in high regard.

The pros are that you have an opportunity to interact with people from all over. There are no cons.

the only pros and cons to my program was that I did not have the ability to see my fellow students and professors in the flesh.

Degree: Communications
Graduation Year: 2014

I love that I can work in my own time, which is important as a single mother and with a full-time job. I miss the classroom interaction and relationship building that comes along with physically attending classes. The workload most of the time seems manageable, but can occasionally seems overwhelming. The courses are very useful in the real world and I am able to apply what I learn in my current job which is in the communications field. Overall I would recommend the program and the college to others.
