Degree: Cultural Studies
Graduation Year: 2017

Kansas State University offers lots of opportunities to utilize one's knowledge of the target language as a graduate students, due to the opportunities given to graduate student to experience the teaching of the foreign language. However, I wished more courses would be offered in the target language instead of in English.

Pro: Program has the latest research and gives quality training. Cons: Not a very low income friendly school. Quite hard for me to pay for college.

This program will be very beneficial to my future career. Overall a good choice for me considering all factors. I would recommend this program to those looking to augment their undergraduate degree.

Degree: Engineering

Some classes are challenging while other graduate classes are too easy. Research is challenging and interesting. There is a lack of social community among graduate students at the department level. Transportation to and from campus, as well as around town, could be improved. Career resources are excellent.

The online program is very flexible and school's use of technology makes it better than other on-line courses I have taken. Taking the program on-line makes it more difficult to network and to work with faculty one-on-one.

Degree: Architecture
Graduation Year: 2016

The Kansas State University architecture program has been a great experience for me, for the most part. It is a very competitive program. The first few weeks of school, half of my class dropped architecture. Most of the faculty are very helpful and push everyone to be better designers. There are of course a few "bad apples." The facilities could use some work but for the tuition, it really is a great education.

I have been attending school at the Olathe campus. There is just one building. Many classes are available online, and the school also uses video conferencing to allow students who are not able to be physically present to still be able to interact with. Professors and other students. The program is still fairly new. More professors are needed to teach laboratory classes which are not yet available to students.

Degree: Curriculum & Instruction
Graduation Year: 2018

So far, I have been very happy with Kansas State University. My adviser has been very helpful in setting me up with a plan of study that will be manageable and focused on my future goals. As a distance student, there is a tendency to feel removed from the university (as I have experienced at other universities). Kansas State's habit of having other graduate students call and welcome me into the university, however, has made me feel much more comfortable.

Degree: Veterinary Science
Graduation Year: 2018

The pro's would be that this program has a lot of opportunities for you to get "outside" the classroom experience, which is great for our field. The teachers are extremely helpful and will work overtime to make sure we understand the material. In the program, we all act like family and help support each other, we are not trying to out-compete one another. The con's would be the price tag, especially for out-of-state students, and that is how it is at every school for this program. Another con would be the lack of up-to-date technology in the classroom and labs, which makes it a little tougher to learn the material.

This graduate program is excellent. The people around you truly care about your success and are eager to watch you grow in your educational experiences. I feel that this program will allow me to venture through doors that may not have been available to me otherwise.
