Degree: Human Services

The pros are that there is as much support as I need in order to successfully finish my degree. Also, the professionalism of the staff and understanding of my situation. Willingness to help me overcome the obstacles in life. The con are not seeing anyone face to face. I know their voices, but you can not beat looking someone in the eyes while talking.

I enjoy the pros of having this program online because it allows me the time and access to keep things for me on a personal time level and to complete my schooling at night since I work evenings. It allows me to have the day as family time and to maintain the best studying zones able while completing my degree online. All the information appears to be at my finger tips and they tend to send me alerts and reminders to help correlate with my schooling and curriculum. However, sometimes it does appear tough to get some assistance during the night hours. Schooling for graduate level is expensive and I wish there were more graduate level scholarships out there for new graduate students.

Informatics is a new field of study to most and Kaplan has provided a unique way to study this field, since I am a working professional, the online program woks great for me, the only drawback with online programs in general is the voice or face to face communication.

Most of the professors are very clear with their expectations and fair with grading. You know what grade you deserve when you turn it in.

Kaplan has been a great experience. I tested out some other online colleges and none of the interfaces were nearly as good as Kaplan's. They also provide a 20% discount for alumni perusing advanced degrees.

The online program for Kaplan University is very flexible, perfect for someone with a full-time job. The professor for the course I am currently taking is very supportive and their online portal for classes is very easy to use.

Degree: MBA
Graduation Year: 2015

Kaplan's MBA program has been beneficial thus far. I'm into my 4th course and have had good professors and, for the most part, good classmates. Some fellow students didn't seem to be at the graduate level based on their work submitted, so it was surprising they were accepted into this program. However, the courses, the professors, the requirements, the textbooks and the work required in each class have been challenging and I believe appropriate for MBA and executive level learning. I have gained significant knowledge in areas of business in which I had little experience. I would recommend this program to returning students wishing to further their education and advance their career. Thank you.

The good thing about the program is that it is all online so you have all week to complete your assignments. They also have a weekly online seminar which is unlike any other online courses I have taken.

The program is very challenging, but wish there were more resources for jobs.
