Student & Graduate Reviews

3.83 out of 5.0
Degree: Healthcare Administration
Graduation Year: 2014

The pros to my graduate program is that, help is always available and lectures are recorded. My advisor is always readily available to help me and provide valuable information that benefits me. Professors are always giving great feedback and answers every question to the best of their ability. The Cons, education is not free

Degree: Accounting
Graduation Year: 2014

My graduate program truly challenges me to succeed and be the best student I can be. The only con I have is the student dispersement from financial aid. This is because they still deliver checks and do not offer direct deposit options.

Degree: Social Sciences
Graduation Year: 2014

The pros of this program is the convenience of taking online classes. Two classes are full-time and if you have prior work experience or have taken courses at another institution you save money. The seminar is once a week and you can ask questions about that weeks workload. Also the professor has worked in your specific field and can give you insight on what to expect once you obtain your degree. The con of the graduate program in general is the funding. Some of the scholarships they offer are for undergraduates. Depending on the number of credits for each course, financial aid is just enough for one course.

Degree: Criminal Justice
Graduation Year: 2013

Kaplan was a good school choice for a Veteran who needs to work full time to support self and family. Its Criminal Justice program has been excellent with a balanced blend of challenge and accessibility. Its major weaknesses lie with some courses that are not degree specific ("Big Ideas in Science") that really don't belong in a 200 or 300 level University Curriculum, but at a lower level. I plan to continue with Kaplan's Concord Law School this fall. My goal is to complete my Juris Doctor and become a State Prosecutor or work for the US Attorney's Office.

Degree: Higher Education
Graduation Year: 2015

I'm really enjoying this program. It is a great deal of work, and I feel like when I'm not working, I'm studying, but that's ok. A Master's degree isn't meant to be done quickly. It is meant to be done correctly and with much thought. It's a great program that I would recommend to anyone.

Pros - Academic Support, Financial Support, Class size, online interaction with instructor and students

Degree: Business
Graduation Year: 2014

I am an online student, campus life is not applicable towards me, so the ratings for transportation, surrounding area, social life and campus safety are not relevant. Overall my academic career at Kaplan University has been very rewarding. I have been blessed with professors who are knowledgeable and take time out for each student. The smaller class sizes are a plus. The only con about any online school is not having actual face to face contact with peers and the professor but technology makes up for it and it always helps to have a professor who goes above and beyond
