Degree: Environmental Science
Graduation Year: 2017

The option of having a campus that students are able to go to if hands on experience is needed is awesome. Tudors are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Also I like the convenience of online classes, its nice to ask questions face to face also. The curriculum is sufficiently challenging, just as if in a classroom.

The Master of Health Care Administration program at Kaplan University is very accommodating to working mothers. Their online format and structure is user friendly and allows you to continually know where you are at on a GPA stand point. The only con that I can think of is, it usually takes a day or two before someone in the financial aid department gets back to you. In general, the overall program and instructors are great and I would recommend to anyone.

The online platform works best for my busy schedule and I feel the graduate workload is fair. Kaplan's professors and their staff have been professional and available every time I had a question. I would recommend their program to anyone.

I loved attending Kaplan and have received a lot of help from the career services department since graduating. The teachers were mostly supportive with only one exception in my experience. The platform they used was easy to understand, but the changes they made to the discussion forum made responding to classmates a little more difficult. I preferred the old platform. I am now looking into Doctoral programs to continue my education and build on the foundation that Kaplan gave me.

These four (4) items: Transportation, Surrounding Area, Campus Safety and Affordability of Living were not relevant to me. I gave them 10 stars, as I did not feel it would be fair to rate them at 1 star. I am in my second (2nd) session of twelve (12). So far, the professors have been very accessible and the workload has been balanced. The two courses I have taken "HA 515: Leadership in Health Care" and "HA 535: Health Care Statistics" have been relatively easy for me. I believe this is because I have the advantage of being an older student and have a good business background. As to workload -- my first session (HA 515) was very heavy and I had to drop down to one class per session to maintain an acceptable grade. This session (HA 535) has a very light workload and, even though I was very nervous because of the name of the course, it has been a relatively easy course. The course is actually applied statistics, not mathematical.

While the online program provides the flexibility needed as an adult student, it is a bit disconnected from the professors when more close assistance is needed. There is a learning center in my area with tutors that help bridge the gap in most cases. The time frame for the courses feels a bit rushed at times but it seems to work so far.

The options of class time is limited and the instructors are not pervasive enough to lay down the rules for discussion posts in a timely manner.

The professors I have had are of the best quality, with excellent training and credentials. They know their material and their syllabus well. Many of them are quite dynamic and relate well to ALL types of students. The library can be a nightmare, though; it is unwieldy and difficult to navigate. Searches bring you very strange results most often...But the student resources are out of this world, with tutoring, a math center, a writing center-complete with a citation section of its own!-, and a science center, among MANY other aids. The Career Network and Graduate Resources are helpful to students as well. I did my Associate's, Bachelor's, and now I am doing my Master's program with Kaplan; they MUST be doing something right!

Great online program taught by knowledgeable faculty. Cost was high and registration was confusing.

Degree: Information Technology
Graduation Year: 2017

I am currently attending Kaplan Online for a masters in information technology. As with most online courses the lack of face to face interaction can be difficult for some. The fact that the school uses adobe to facilitate video lectures helps a lot. The teachers are always available and respond timely to emails. Although the workload can be overwhelming the tools and flexibility that online course provide are worth it.
