Degree: Business Administration
Graduation Year: 2018

I have enjoyed every moment of taking courses at Lamar Univeristy. The workload is the perfect amount and the professors are very helpful. The only downfall I have found is that there are not many scholarships offered. I am a single woman with a car and house payment so it's hard some months to make ends meet.

The program in itself was fine and has some very good instructors/ TA'so who really cares about the students. Trying to get support outside of registration for class from advisors is hard.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2017

I am working on my M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lamar University in primarily online courses. The work is rigorous and challenging. I had an amazing experience in the on-campus residency. Overall, I would highly recommend this program!

Degree: Educational Leadership
Graduation Year: 2016

The program is online which allows for a lot of flexibility in completing my classes. There is excellent technology support and teachers are available through email. You don't have that immediate feedback that you have if you are in class.

Degree: Counseling Psychology
Graduation Year: 2017

One of the pros of the program is that the professors are very knowledgeable and professional in their delivery of course materials. The amount of work being assigned is doable for the working students. Professors are very accessible and helpful to students. Also the program exceeds the state requirements of 48 hours with a 60 hour program that is more in line with other states. The cons of program are not very noticeable at this point in time to me since it's my first semester. But as any struggling student would wish for, I wish the price was cheaper.

Degree: Educational Leadership
Graduation Year: 2016

This program is wonderful for working professionals. The professors are very competent, professional and challenging. The courses are interesting and the work is comparable to what would be required when attending class on campus. The tuition is extremely affordable and the financial aid department is quick to process FAFSA. I would recommend this program to educators with experience who are looking to further their education and grow professionally. Lamar has developed and implemented an exceptional online doctoral program.

Degree: Communications (Speech Pathology)
Graduation Year: 2017

Lamar University provides a diverse and rich learning environment within the Speech and Hearing Department. However, the cost of the degree demands thousands of dollars. Although I am a first generation minority college student, I believe this program reigns high in quality of education, diversity, student to faculty relationships, and experience.
