Degree: Educational Leadership
Graduation Year: 2014

For a working professional, the ease of communication, registration and other necessary administrative tasks is outstanding. Instructions are clear and only pertinent information is asked of applicants and program participants. Email queries are promptly answered, and the phone calls from the Academic Partners staff during the application process and then prior to the start of classes help make the online program more personal. The structure of the online program (1 course each 5 week period) allows for concentration on the content and a pace that is manageable while also achieving degree completion in a reasonable time period.

It's a small school so the options for aid are fairly slim for graduate students.

I am enrolled in the Educational Technology Leadership Masters Program. I am finding this course of study to be invaluable. We live in a very digital society, and our kids are often more tech-savvy than teachers and parents. I am pleased to be among the number of leaders that will teach teachers how to integrate technology into their instruction. I am learning about more and more Web 2.0 tools which can be used to engage and motivate students.

My Lamar University Graduate program is entirely online. This allows me to continue to teach fulltime and earn my graduate degree in Education Leadership. The advantage of being able to attend graduate school via an online program is great! I am able to work on a time schedule that fits my family, from the comfort of my own home. The program is also year round, so I will complete my degree in 18 months! I was unable to rate a lot of what they posted, due to the fact I have never stepped foot on the Lamar Campus. My relationship is strictly online, I do not live near Lamar.

Degree: Teaching
Graduation Year: 2014

Every teacher that I've had so far has been brilliant. They honestly want us to become the best teachers we can be. They don't overload us with work, but at the end of the day, you feel like you've learned tons. Lots of fun activities and projects to help us really understand and remember the content. The only con is that the Beaumont/Port Arthur area is fairly small, and there's not much to do in your free time.

The graduate program is really good, but is under estimated in the world.
