Degree: Religious Studies
Graduation Year: 2016

I feel that the graduate program at Liberty University will prepare me with the knowledge and the theological aspect that is needed to be able to present God's message to all people. I believe that this area of study will give me the ability to discern the meaning of the gospel and to make it relatable to today's society. Understanding different religions will also allow me not to be prejudice from my own beliefs and to maintain a sense of compassion for all believers of the Word of God.

I have been very impressed and satisfied with the level of interaction from professors and librarians. I have also had tremendous success getting a hold of and communicating with student services. I am very please at the level of academic work required and the program overall. Much of the rating system above does not apply to my school as I am working from home!

Degree: School Counseling
Graduation Year: 2015

The faculty is wonderful. Every instructor I have communicated with has been very helpful. My classes at the campus were some of the most amazing experiences of my life, and I made friends across the country. However, I think a distance grad program in counseling is lacking simply because it is a distance program. I think we do not see learn the same amount of information, and my classes were not as rigorous as other programs I have heard of. That being said, I'm glad I was able to do it online, and I think it was a good value for my money.

Degree: Human Services
Graduation Year: 2013

The pros of earning my Master's in Human Services online was the flexibility to continue working and spend time with my family while continuing my education. My degree enabled me to secure employment in my field of study almost immediately after graduation. Unfortunately due to this degree not being associated with any licensure, I feel I will not be able to grow professionally. My only complaint being that I do not feel I was provided with adequate career counseling when I confirmed my major.

When communicating with the university it's much better to call then to email. I'm so accustomed to emailing and I'm not accustomed to not getting a timely response back, much less no response at all. But their Blackboard is AMAZING and I haven't even started using it for classes yet! They have tutorials to show you how to do anything you need to on it, and they are SHORT tutorials, straight and to the point. One other con is that if you want a particular department, you really need to know which one because the directory is either vague or has an abundance of choices. But when someone answers the phone, they are SUPER nice and very knowledgeable.
