The graduate program at Liberty University Online promotes a sense of community among the student body by asking students to participate in discussion boards, group, and partnered assignments. The professors demand nothing less than excellence from each student and strive to be accessible at all times. There was once a question I e-mailed in the middle of the night, and the professor called me and resolved the issue I was having with the assignment over the phone at 3am. However, this person was the exception; not the rule. At Liberty University, online students must come to campus for a portion of their coursework in order for faculty and administration to meet them greet them and make them see how vital they are to the entire LU community. It would be too easy for an online student to feel isolated when spending the majority of their study time with a computer. Professors at LU understand that no one should ever feel alone in the pursuit of a dream. As a substitute teacher, I have experienced first-hand the benefit of a Liberty University education. I am as knowledgeable (in some cases more knowledgeable) as my peers and feel confident in the work that I do as an educator. LUO has fully prepared me for the task of teaching and I look forward to a rewarding career in education

Degree: Human Services
Graduation Year: 2016

The pros of Human Services life coaching is the increased chances of me obtaining a career in my field of study, and actually helping others improve their quality of life. The con of Human Services life coaching is the fact that the cost to pursue higher education is costly especially when I am already drowning in student loan dept due to pursing my undergraduate degree. The accessibility of this program from an accredited university outweighs the con because I am branding by resume to gain a better quality of life.

The professors are supportive and provide detailed list of expectations in the course, exams, and assignments. They also respond to questions and email very quickly. The program is certified. However, it would be more beneficial if the program was CEPH certified as well.

Liberty has a great MBA program that allows you to complete your degree while continuing to work on your career. The staff is so helpful and you never have to wait to reach IT if you're having a problem. They put into practice what they teach at this school, its awesome.

Attending Liberty University Online has been a rewarding I could not comment on the on campus experiences because I attend school online. The professors are highly knowledgeable and very helpful in the online process. I enjoy learning online because I am able to work, go to school, and be involved in activities with my church family. I am currently on vacation visiting family and doing homework at the same time. Although I do not have the classroom experience until I take my intensives on campus in the spring 2015, I enjoy learning everywhere that I go.

Degree: School Counseling
Graduation Year: 2015

The pros for my graduate program is the online experience. The classes are awesome. Even though I am not in an actual class room. I still get to communicate with my class mates. I also love the intensives. It is so much fun to meet and work with new people. The Lynchburg area is a great area to visit even if I was not in school. I have no cons for my graduate program. I have had a wonderful experience so far and I hope that my next year will be just as rewarding.

An advantage to the MA degree program in Human Services Counseling - Executive Leadership is that it is designed to help you master the study of human behavior as a leader in an organization. In this program, I can focus on creating strategic plans, understanding how to maximize teamwork and conflict resolution. The second advantage is that the course materials focus on the biblical principles for a leader. Lastly, there is the convenience of an online program, which will allow me to work full-time as well as continue my education. A disadvantage for this program is that it is online. Therefore, you do not have the social interaction with your peers as you would physically being on campus. Another disadvantage, is that you may not have quick access to instructors or advisers for questions. Although there are some disadvantages to an online degree program, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.
