At Liberty University online, the commitment of the staff and faculty to each student is evident. Even though the school is large and I attend online, I still feel very close to some of the professors and staff are always very helpful. I like that I seldom have to travel to the campus. I wish there were satellite campuses nearby so that I did not have to travel so far for intensives.

When I enrolled I did not understand that ATS accreditation is necessary to pursue Ph.d studies at other theological seminaries. Moreover, Liberty's Academic Pre Ph.D M.Div program does not help you meet the standards set by Princeton and Notre Dame to be competitive or at the very least par with other applicants to the Ph.D program. These two schools require Greek and Hebrew along side a reading knowledge of German and French. Liberty does not offer German and French at the graduate level. To say the least, I will be transferring in December.

The pros are that it is a Christian based university which is very important to me considering I am pursuing a career as a Christian based grief counselor. The cons, I do not have any at this time.

The best part of the Liberty Online programming is the opportunity to complete a Masters degree while still working. There is flexibility to complete the work around a busy schedule. The professors are very engaged in the classrooms and are positive and encouraging throughout the course. Biblical principles are included in disscussion boards with fellow classmates. The con of Liberty's Online program is no grant money is available. For someone who can't afford to pay for school this becomes very expensive and makes a lot of people have to chose not to pursue higher education. Liberty is a large private school with a lot of money...over 80,000 online students. I would think that grants should be available for hard working students.

I think the pros of going to Liberty University Online is the affordability. Also they call their online students at least every other week to make sure the courses are going well. I also like the fact that faculty sent you emails in a timely fashion. I have nothing negative to say about my graduate program.

I feel that there is a distance between the teachers and students forcing a harder connect to be made.

Liberty University is a great school to attend for my MBA because I can take classes that meet my schedule. My husband is in the military making it hard to find a school that can transport to anywhere in the world. Liberty is helping me live my dream while he serves our country. I was really worried about the Christian viewpoint of the school since I do not follow religion closely but the professors are there to help as requested. So far the religion aspect has not been overwhelming.

Liberty University is providing me with an outstanding education in marriage and family therapy. The majority of my program is online which gives me the freedom I need to take care of my family and reach my educational goals. I highly recommend Liberty University.
