Degree: Aviation

Stay away from Liberty University in general, especially the Aviation department. Online instruction is very low quality, communication with student advising is poor, and there is no academic support from the aviation department for students striving to achieve R-ATP or other important aviation milestones. When it comes to R-ATP, Liberty is notorious for moving the goal post and denying the cert - look it up online. The school is a for profit institution and they act like it. They just want your... Liberty’s EdD program is pretty amazing. The 8 week format is great for moving quickly. Taking 2 classes at a time gets you through 24 hours per year, not including the summer. I’ll be finished with my degree in 3 years. It has been a great experience.

I would say its true its a hit or miss. There are 2 kinds of professor one who truly cares for students success and provide them support. The other would be those who are in for a gig or side job on top of their real job. I had a great experience on my first semester and couldnt say for the following. Its like what they say anyone can have a degree but hard to find someone educated. Itake religion and scriptures seriously however its been misused

I went to a real university for a real degree before this one. These professors do not care about true content of what they’re teaching. They just care about god. Furthermore, they grade in a way that makes zero sense. I got a C on a paper I would have gotten zero negative remarks about from a different school because I didn’t “talk about god enough”. As if god has any place in psychology. It’s wild. Professors play favorites and put random expectations on assignments that were NOT listed in the... Read More

I have been both a student and an employee at this school and in every way it was truly horrible. My freshman year I got roofied at a party and the staff addressing it said that it was my fault. I then could not transfer due to the courses I was put in because I would have to be a freshman all over again. Over the next few years I was constantly let down by both the staff and the students at this school. The corrupt morals were a plague in almost every aspect. Fast forward to my senior year I suddenly... Read More

The Masters in Criminal Justice program with a specialization in Cybercrime Investigations was truly outstanding. This program is unique and one of the few of its kind in the country. The coursework and training provided in this program were comprehensive and in-depth, covering all aspects of cybercrime investigations, from the basics of digital forensics to the latest techniques in cybercrime prevention and detection. The faculty members were experts in the field and provided valuable insights and... Read More

I'm a senior at Liberty University with only eight classes left to graduate. It's been my experience that Liberty is constantly changing course syllabi. Likewise, the amount of writing has increased exponentially for the few remaining classes. I've heard of students doing well until the end, and then they begin failing classes. The university expects an ungodly amount of work for an eight-week semester. Besides, you are teaching yourself the material. The residential students receive the best education;... Read More

So far not off to a good start. The financial aid department seems to be pretty unresponsive to my questions of concerns. I have been waiting to finalize my financial check in for the upcoming semester but I am unable to because they have to review documents they required me to send in. It’s been three days now and there is only two days left including a Sunday to get my financial check in complete on time before I am hit with a fine. Anytime I call they tell me it still needs to be reviewed. They... Read More

I just got accepted. I haven’t even begun and my experience hasn’t been so great. I’ve spoken with Admissions only twice. Both times the representatives were dismissive, and assuming to say the least. The first representative screwed up my name, and genuinely didn’t care. I guess it’s too ethnic for her and maybe she doesn’t have a good handle on the English language to even try to enunciate. As for previous college experience she verbally assumed I had only taken only all general education classes.... Read More

The Ph.D. online programs are designed to keep you in and keep you paying. They are the money makers for the University because most people in these programs are self-paid. Therefore, if you enroll, expect to take more than 3 classes to finish your dissertation once you get to that phase of the program. Expect to re-take courses and pay for each re-take. Advancing through the dissertation phases is a hard task and not at all like it is advertised. The program is structured to where the department... Read More

Degree: Nutrition

I chose their Masters Exercise /Nutrition since it was all online and I could work full time while taking 1 or 2 classes each semester. I wanted the most up to date research on exercise and nutrition --to help my profession- this degree was well worth it. There is volunteer work required for the graduation requirement which added to the learning experience.

Overall, I have had a great experience at this college. I am a junior, and of course, no matter your age we all go through many struggles in life. This semester I was struggling financially taking on a heavier class load…I spoke on the phone with Angela she was very understanding, patient, caring and went absolutely above and beyond to make sure I was able to pay payments whenever I could and how much I could. She is a very sweet blessing in my time at Liberty. Angela should be head of the financial... Read More

I am deeply troubled by the pure lack of communication that I have experienced with this entire process trying to get into my Master's program. Literally NO ONE has contacted me at all outside of an occasional email once I keep calling in repeatedly. I have been trying to get through just the admissions process alone for WEEKS. I have finally been accepted. I call in today to find out about getting my degree audit done for my transfer of credits only to find out there is yet another step that NO... Read More

I am already an instructor at a college and I went back to get additonal education to further my career. I wanted to go to a Christian college since I was a Christian and I wanted a bibical education along with my Master's. First and foremost, the verbiage used in the online materials doesn't match the assignments. When I would reach out to my professor, I would either not get a response or the response I would get wouldn't answer my question. When I reached out to the college for additional support,... The instructors for the courses are hit and miss with some being very helpful and others not being helpful at all. The coursework was rigorous, but the nightmare occurs with the dissertation process. Chairs and readers will drop you with little notice or no notice at all. You will spend a whole semester waiting for a dissertation proposal to be reviewed, when the manual says two weeks, and have to repeat the course because the proposal was not reviewed. So, when I applied to the MA online program at Liberty I was expecting a similar experience. In some ways it was and not so in others. I liked Liberty University at first. They pull you in with the Christian school environment and Christ Centered classes. Each professor is different in my Doctoral program for Counseling. I find this school to be a joke. They try too hard to apply the Bible to the lectures that sometimes is not even relevant and you get points deducted if you can't relate. The professors I had graded me upon their agreement or disagreement to my thoughts on the discussion questions, which does not seem fair just because we had different views and opinions on the topic. Also, when reaching out with questions, it was hard to reach the professors and it cuts down on my time to get the help I want to... Read More
