Degree: Counseling

Overall, the professors that I have encountered have been highly competent and many have left me feeling enlightened. However, I have had one professor that is incompetent and it has been upsetting that I am spending so much money for education with a teacher that lacks the adequate skills.

Pros: knowlegable professors, affordable tuition, excellent financial aid, adequate facilities. Cons: Professors held masters level degrees and not PhD, not well known, not highly ranked, no consistant educational standards, no career assistance.

Lindenwood is a great place to learn and grow. The instructors are fantastic and go out the way to help you. Cost is extremely competitive.

The online courses are designed to be challenging and engaging for the student. Although I'm not in a classroom, I feel like I've gotten real value from each of my classroom "sessions." It is hard to develop a network, however, as an online student.

The pros would be that there are different campus locations for the various programs. The instructors are very hands on and personable. The con would be that there is little to no financial aid available for the graduate program outside of loans.

I enjoy the program. I wish that there were more technology being shown within the program of the Masters of Education. I think there needs to be updated technology.

I am doing the program 100% online because I am an Air Force spouse who will be moving around the globe every 2-3 years. This program has been extremely supportive, accommodating, and helpful. I really enjoy the staff, student support, workload, and the material. It's been wonderful for me, and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to study creative writing.

Lindenwood's MA TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) program offers challenging coursework for those who are looking to obtain ESOL certification or a full TESOL master's degree. The faculty are extremely knowledgeable and are always willing to help students as needed. The workload in a couple courses is a bit excessive, but I feel that we definitely learn a great deal in this program. The information gained through the TESOL program is applicable to a variety of teaching contexts, including all ages of students in English as a Second Language, English as a Foreign language, etc. The program is small, and students are able to connect with faculty and one another to create a supportive learning community.
