I received my Masters in Leadership when the program initially started. It was a great concept and I learned a lot, but the staff lacked diversity. I had the same professors for multiple classes. I think the program has come a long way since.

The Lipscomb Master's in Civic Leadership program was one that had a greater impact on my career and my life as a whole. This program is a true reflection of the possibilities and potential to influence the world around you from what you learn in the classroom. From hybrid courses that are offered to the use of technology and networking on-site at community activities, the skills developed over this 15-month course program being day one in acclimating you to the change agent that you can in the community. Solving real-world problems using conflict management techniques and collaborative relationships simultaneously as we put into action the skills we have developed each month of the program. This program is grounded in distinct principals and research based learning style, but is versatile in a sense to incorporate a students uniqueness.

The small sized classrooms allowed you to really engage yourself with the teacher. I felt like I was able to get more out of the program doing that.

The graduate programs are incredibly competitive. I am currently in a cohort of about 16 students in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. It's a pricey school, but perhaps worth the money. This program is accredited, which makes their graduates a shoe-in for jobs. The admissions process was very scrambled, so be persistent. Call any department that you've submitted a form to and make sure they have it on file! The professors are incredibly friendly and easy to work with. The workload is hefty, so it's good to know you'll be able to ask a lot of questions easily. Located in beautiful Nashville, there's plenty of great food around the area.

I have been very impressed with the quality of classes. The experience of professors and students make for a rich learning environment with a unique insight to the Nashville business world. Nashville is a wonderful city, but cost of living and transportation issues do make it more difficult to live close to city and campus. The professors, however, are fully aware of the constraints of living, working, and attending school and make assignments manageable.

Lipscomb University's M.Ed. program is one of the best in the nation! The faculty truly cares about the field of education and therefore cares greatly for their students - the future educators. The staff is extremely approachable and friendly, helping you through the process step by step. I know that I am receiving an exemplary education that is widely respected in the field of education.

Degree: Marriage & Family Therapy
Graduation Year: 2016

The M.MFT Program at Lipscomb is still very new and so some of the expected "kinks" have not yet been worked out yet. The biggest con is that there is only one Graduate Assistantship available to each cohort and no other kinds of financial aid available, meaning most of us are taking out large amount of loans while also attempting to continue to work full time and balance that with also being full time students. That said, I have been more than pleased with my experience thus far. My professors are absolutely wonderful and have taught me so much about the art of doing therapy. I look forward to learning more from them and am so grateful for my Lipscomb experience.
