Working on a masters degree online provides flexibility to work around my schedule. The professors at LSUS are extremely knowledgeable in their filed and willing to share their expertise so I learn more. The assignments and interaction with other students challenge me to think of other options to solve a problem. It's been a great experience!

Louisiana State University-Shreveport is an outstanding university! Strong academics! Teachers are excellent! Big enough to offer many courses, clubs, and extracurricular activities but small enough for faculty to know you by name. High quality, diverse, goal oriented student body. In my opinion, this is the best college in the Shreveport/Bossier area to attend. Especially if you wish to stay at home and not go off to college or don't have the financials able to do so. It was all around wonderful experience.

LSUS has a small campus but it's filled with people that are focused on helping you achieve your goals whatever they may be. Teachers and advisors are easily accessible and everyone is polite! If you need assistance with anything from finding the location of your classes to help finding away to pay for them they have you covered. The course work load is a bit heavy but proper planning gets you through it.

Degree: Instructional Technology
Graduation Year: 2018

The Masters of Curriculum and Instruction accelerated program is exceptionally well designed for professionals and teachers that are interested in furthering a career in education. The courses work is 100% online and each class is delivered in 7 week blocks. This adds to the convenience of the program, because a new student does not have to wait until for a traditional semester to start. Online delivery always for an extremely diverse student population as well. I even have a classmate that is in Japan! I have yet to find an aspect of the program that I am unhappy with.

I attended LSUHSC-Shreveport which was very challenging but the quality of instruction was impressive. I learned quite a lot from my instructors.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at LSUS. The graduate program was rigorous, and I was able to find a job in my field not too long after graduation. I met a lot of great people there that I still keep in touch with. The program is very affordable. The professor were knowledgable and were always willing to answer my questions. The only issue is that it is a small school; therefore, we do not have all the newest lab equipment; however, our professors are constantly writing grants and doing everything they can to update materials and equipment in the labs.

Louisiana State University in Shreveport offers an affordable, yet competitve degree. The curriculum gives students the knowledge and skills to be successful in their professional careers. Personally, I most enjoy the use of technology the LSUS employs. LSUS provides forums for students to collaborate on ideas and questions, and, also, utilizes online study tools to engage students much like a classroom lecture. Technology allows students to achieve the results of classroom learning with the luxury of learning from home. The only con to my graduate program is the loss of personal networking that an individual might get if they were enrolled in a standard graduate program, not an online program. However, through collarboration on assignments and projects, I feel as though the opportunity to make a professional connection will arise.
