Degree: Health Sciences
Graduation Year: 2013

Specifically for medical physics...definitely one of the most competitive in the country with a fabulous group of faculty and staff who are always happy to help!

Flagship university in Louisiana. Competitive among southern states. However, if you have better choice in states other than the four southern states, don't come here.

Degree: English
Graduation Year: 2013

Many of the English department faculty are generous in their support of students on their academic projects and career advising. The English Department has a number of social events, and the community is overall a welcoming one (though lacking in diversity). Baton Rouge is a decent town; however, it's hard to get around without a car. Getting to school is easy thanks to the awesome (and free) LSU Tiger Trails bus system, but getting anywhere else without a car is difficult.

I don't live on campus or eat on campus usually (pack lunches), so those are just guesses. Baton Rouge is a cool town and LSU football can't be beat :)

The setting of LSU is one of the best I have seen in recent times. The diversity is second to none and the research is of top notch.

LSU is a great school to go to for pursuing a higher education degree. The only complaint I would have as a graduate student would be the parking and transportation, but for a school so large that is to be expected. Geaux Tigers!

Great school. Tough time right now with all the budget cuts on the State level
