Degree: Health Sciences

I love the dedication each of the faculty members has towards our progression through the program and beyond. I believe that there are some updates that need to be made in terms of the equiptment in the department. Overall, this is an amazing program that will prepare me for my future in the field of Audiology.

It depends very strongly on which advisor is chosen, but I feel like LSU is preparing me well for the work life after grad school.

Degree: Landscape Design
Graduation Year: 2015

The support of the faculty and their willingness to go the extra mile for all students is one of the best qualities of LSU. Projects are diverse in scale and the professors allow you to cultivate an original idea while learning new technologies. Funding is available in the graduate school through assistantships, however these are limited. Class sizes are small, under 20 students per class year.

I thoroughly enjoyed my four years at Louisiana State University. It was truly a tremendous experience, especially for someone that was born and raised a tiger like myself.

Degree: Public Health
Graduation Year: 2015

The Public Health Program at LSU Heath Science Center provides excellent education and resources for its students. Being from Louisiana, this program ensures service and community outreach in its course curriculum. This enables proliferation of plans and ideas students may have about their careers and development of great students in Public Health.

Degree: Social Sciences
Graduation Year: 2013

Pros: Geography and Anthropology have excellent scholar-faculty members that, though busy, are accessible. As a larger department, there are a sufficient range of sub-disciplines and teaching styles represented and I felt that I have plenty of encouragement and support for my research interests. Cons: While I am working for my doctorate degree, I sense from some of my past peers that some of the masters students do not get quite the personal-professional investment that doctoral students do.

Degree: Social Sciences
Graduation Year: 2013

The class sizes are small and intimate, which is nice. You develop an awesome bond with your classmates because you spend long nights and hours with them working on projects. The advisors are not as helpful as I feel the could be. The courses are interesting and difficult which is good for when you get out into the job market.
