"The Guidance and Counseling program fosters great relationships among students and faculty, and encourages self-reflection. By providing a safe and welcoming environment, as well as addressing current issues in educational counseling, make the program amazing and worth every penny of tuition."

"Far too expensive. Learned a lot about filmmaking, but pick your professors wisely because not all of them are as qualified and helpful as they should be."

"I recently graduated for the School Psychology M.A., Ed. S, P.P.S program at LMU. I felt like the program really expanded my confidence and competence within the field. I feel confidence in my role as a school psychologist and my ability to support and help all students reach their full potential. I feel that I have the ability to be a leader at my schools while working with school staff, students, families, and the community. LMU does a great job at making sure all 10 NASP Domains are covered and personally experience within the fieldwork ( practicing and internship). Overall, I feel that I got the best education I could have received from this program."

"I love LMU. The professors are overall amazing. Intellectual atmosphere is only lacking because the students don't care as much as the professors, but if you're a good student you'll get an amazing education out of your experience at LMU. Great opportunities for leadership and service, too."

"Loved it. Great teachers, terrific facilities. Credit requirements are low - lots of electives available. Could be a good or bad thing, depending on what you're looking for. Need to be proactive. The film school provides a ton of awesome options - take advantage."

"The benefit of this program is that it will help me either as a future educator or even work person. Everything I will learn in LMU's Master of Educational Studies program will empower me to make a difference on the lives of young people in the classroom and outside of the classroom."

"A huge pro for me is the availability of evening courses. I am a full time professional and the courses work with my work schedule. Another pro is the ability to meet with my advisor at least once a semester to review my class schedule and course work load. I cannot speak to the social scene as I do not live on campus nor do I socialize much on campus. The faculty are for the most part working professionals and thus can speak greatly to the current trends/challenges/bright spots in the field."

"I will always be in love with Loyola. Loyola Marymount University, a small, private, Jesuit institution located in Los Angeles is the total package when looking for somewhere to get your bachelor's degree. I came to Loyola straight from high school and I can honestly say that it was the best decision that I have ever made. I am currently a senior communications studies major with an emphasis in public relations and marketing. Throughout my entire time at this university I was encouraged by faculty and staff to join clubs, network with fellow students, and to become a part of something that I was passionate about. That was what I first loved, they cared about my passions, they cared about "Jade" as the student. Second, being a communication studies major in Los Angeles is very competitive and Loyola set me up and gave me the resources to have the best chance of finding internships in my field of study. Coming up on my senior year I am proud to say that I have had 3 internships and am working on a 4th and that is all because of my university driving the fact that internships are necessary in my field of study to get a job in a career that is related to my major. Lastly, the education experience is comparable to none. Being a small university of only about 5,000 undergraduate students, the class sizes rarely reach more than 22 students per class. This really allows me to engage in class, have discussions, and most importantly to build a relationship with my professors. I am able to learn at my own pace and ask questions if needed, and you aren't afforded that simple luxury at larger universities. Loyola Marymount University is the total package: a beautiful campus that values passion within their students, a well rounded educational experience, and a promising future upon graduation. I mean, what's NOT to love?"
