If you are an\\\\ adult student at Medaille and are looking into doing the LMHC program don't do it. There is very little support and structure online. I tried both online and on ground. There is no advisement, guidance, or mentorship. There is no assistance with site placement for practicum. People can be rude and overbearing. There is a bit of bias and judgment I have seen within this college from staff. They don't seem overly concerned about their students and there is a very impersonal feeling with the majority of staff. It feels very forced from some staff. Honestly I really went into this because I wanted to advance my career but I wouldn't make this choice again. I encourage you to look into other local adult learner programs were you treated with respect and guidance. It wears on you after while to pay so much to attend this school with such little support and attention to the individual. They are very quick to take your money with no interaction along the way.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2018

Medaille college provided a realistic view of the field of Mental Health Counseling. The professors that they utilize are up to date on current research, techniques, and requirements which is one of the biggest issues I have noticed with other colleges that claim they have the best MHC program. Hearing from professors that just spent the day working directly with clients in the field makes the material less "text-book" and more "how it is". Via Medaille College and their amazing networking I was able to secure a job at a local human service agency in their behavioral/forensic department. Not only did they provide me with the connections but their partnership with this agency provided numerous perks including discounts on tuition. Overall Medaille College gets an excellent rating in my book, if you don't believe me then try it for yourself!

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2018

My co-worker attended Medaille College and she had nothing good things to say about it. Starting from the beginning the admission process was easy. I was even able to waive my application fee. The admissions counselor made sure that I was aware of the deadline and answered any questions. The open house and the orientation was very informative and made me feel welcome. The program is small so meeting the classmates that you were going to spend the 2 years with was great. It gave you a good feel of how well you were going to work together. Emailing professors and advisers was easy because the response were flash quick. I would also like to say that getting a scholarship was not bad at all. I would so recommend this College.

Medaille is an expensive college, but worth every penny. The admissions process was hassle-free and so far the curriculum very informative. This is one of the best decisions I have made in years.

I think that this program is great and provides both hands on experience and theoretical learning. It will be a great advantage to be certified in both the US and Canada.

pros: lots of tutoring help, teachers are friendly, peers are helpful cons: workload is way too much, classes are too speedy and pack too much info into them, students cannot retain info

The MBA program is a very affordable option for adult students with families and careers. The curriculum is challenging, however the instructors are very personable and encouraging. Medaille College should be rated higher nationally.
