Degree: Mechanical Engineering
Graduation Year: 2015

I love Mississippi State University. The university values each and every graduate student. I am glad to be a part of a team that fosters diversity, teamwork, networking and leadership. Although it is not an Ivy League school, you will work hard and reap the success of that hard work.

Degree: Education
Graduation Year: 2015

I have just started the graduate program and the professors in the Agriculture & Extension Ed Department have been very helpful in getting me registered and in classes, even though I made the decision to go back to school at the last minute. They help make the transition very smooth.

Degree: Mechanical Engineering
Graduation Year: 2016

I'm taking graduate engineering courses online while working full time. So far the technology used to make the distance education experience work has been great and all of my professors have been more than flexible with working around my schedule. The main con at this point is that some of the courses ranked as graduate classes aren't as in-depth as I had expected.

Degree: Business
Graduation Year: 2015

I am currently enrolled in the online MBA program. I have given only 5 stars to be neutral for all the questions that I have not personally seen since I am not on campus. So far I found the professors to be helpful and depending on professor, course loads vary. The price and distance fees are starting to increase; however, it is still very competitive compared to other online programs and traditional programs.

I am just beginning this program, though I like the orientation so far. I look forward to what MSU has to offer!

Degree: Secondary Education
Graduation Year: 2015

This program is offered entirely online which is great since I work full time and cannot afford to move to Starkville. The support staff are very nice, helpful, and readily accessible via email or phone and are prompt in answering questions or concerns about scheduling, work load, or general questions about the program. My experience with the program has been centered online and the professors have worked hard to create environments that encourage group work and contact with peers. That being said, it is hard to replace in class experiences and no program is perfect. The university has switched platforms for the online classrooms, so it will be interesting in the fall to see how this new platform will affect classes. I would recommend this program to anyone interested a Masters in Secondary Education.

Degree: Education
Graduation Year: 2010

I really feel like I learned a lot in my program, however there was no career services help to find a job before or after graduation. For this reason, I would have chosen differently when getting this degree.

Degree: Biomedical Engineering
Graduation Year: 2014

The graduate program in Biomedical Engineering at Mississippi State is really incredible. The professors are geniunely concerned with the progress of their students, and the research experience is great. Perhaps not the highest ranked institution for Biomedical Engineering, but the program still tries to attain the highest levels of quality education and research.

Degree: Mathematics
Graduation Year: 2015

Mississippi State University has a reputation for developing talented and effective professionals. In particular, the small math department allows students to have a more one-on-one relationship with professors. One disadvantage of the program is limited funding.
