"A very close knit campus in Albuquerque; NMHU is better suited towards the adult or working student who is focused on their academic progress and career goals."

"The Public Affairs program at my University is very good since it gives the students a different feel for politics. The pros are that the University's student body is very diverse and it helps the program with different ideologies. The professors in the program are specialized in different fields and students are exposed to those fields such as international politics, state and local government, and law. Students are able to experience a very personal relationship with the professors unlike bigger Universities. The program also helps the students find jobs or internships in the political world. The cons would be that the program has little money or resources to offer the students. At times students may have to leave the program since it is to expensive for students to stay in school. There is very few students that are interested in politics and the Public Affairs needs to approach more students to enter the program. Overall the Public Affairs program is a good program and I love being part of Highlands University."

"I know the graduate program is difficult but the pros are endless. Having the opportunity to continue my education is a great accomplishment and I know it will give me more insight into how the government works, and the world of law. I do not feel there is any cons of my graduate program because it is such a benefit to be able to continue my education."

"Very small classes, therefore teachers have more time to help students one on one, everyone participates in class, and students get to know all of their classmates. I have not really found much that could be seen as negative. The teachers in the program are great and very understanding. They are always willing to help and motivate students. I love this program and its faculty."

"This program prepares students extensively for this field, however, the school's financial aid and administrative services leave a bit to be desired."

"NMHU has been nothing but helpful during my application process. After being accepted, I was contacted immediately and put in touch with fellow students as well as faculty members. The school has helped me find financial aid, housing options, and has made it possible to contact appropriate staff members for any and all questions I might have or help I might need. I am looking forward to attending NMHU this Fall because I already feel like I belong there! Thank you NMHU for alleviating a lot of the stress that comes with going to graduate school!"

"I love the faculty and everyone there. They always are happy to help and answer any questions. I think the only con is I wish the campus was larger so we could have more diversity of students on campus."
