My department was full of top notch professors.

They have an awesome distance learning program. I would have never completed my MBA if it wasn't for the staff and flexibility of the teachers and the overall program. I recommend to everyone that is or will be in New Mexico and is consistently moving.

NMSU is outstanding! The college of Education and the Graduate school faculty &administrative staff are phenomenal! The cohorts and course load are designed in a particular way that pertains to your field of study. Timeliness of any professor or administration returning my email or phone calls goes beyond what is expected from any other university. I love NMSU and would recommend it to everyone.

New Mexico has a great graduate program especially the School of Education. The professors hold office hours face-to-face and via Skype if needed. As for the workload, it is heavy but manageable. I stayed in Las Cruces for two weeks and it was very enjoyable. We had a diverse student body, the school has bus transportation, and the financial aid representatives will work with you. My overall experience with NMSU has been great!

Degree: Biology
Graduation Year: 2017

The Graduate program in Biology at NMSU does not offer many course alternatives for students of the different areas in Biology. Faculty members are enthusiastic about research and seem open to help graduate students.

The Educational Learning Technologies Graduate program is an excellent program. The professors are extremely knowledgeable and eager to help with anything. This is a great program!

Degree: Social Sciences
Graduation Year: 2013

We need more real time job training especially in social sciences. It is a great campus and university but the faculty is not as diverse as the student body.

Degree: Education
Graduation Year: 2013

The online aspect is very useful to me, since I live so far from the campus. It can be frustrating to have to buy new books, as well as pay extra for the distance classes, though, especially since some of them do not use any extra technology so the cost seems confusing - what is my money getting?

Degree: Engineering

Excellent teaching methods but too many people.
3.5 out of 5.0
Degree: Liberal Studies
Graduation Year: 2014

Small campus, low student/instructor ratios, attention when we need it, etc. Alternately, there is still smoking on campus, very little recycling, and motor vehicular traffic through campus.
