Student & Graduate Reviews

4.33 out of 5.0
Degree: Forensic Psychology
Graduation Year: 2015

I believe that North Carolina Central University has a very competitive and great criminal justice graduate program.
4.83 out of 5.0
Degree: History
Graduation Year: 2016

The history program at NCCU feels like family and that has been the most important aspect for me since enrolling.
4.08 out of 5.0
Degree: Library Science
Graduation Year: 2017

North Carolina Central University is a great place to study. I attended NCCU as an undergraduate student and am happy to attend as a graduate student. I love the rigor and the challenge involved. It is my belief that it truly prepares me for the real world and its competitiveness.
3.75 out of 5.0
Degree: Sociology
Graduation Year: 2010

I enjoyed my time at graduate school and learned so much. The faculty was supportive and still is as I continue in the field and academically.
2.25 out of 5.0
Degree: Law
Graduation Year: 2015

There is a serious lack of communication in regards to the joint degree programs. It's as if they offer a degree that they know nothing about. The overall experience is not as bad, but when you need information, you are pretty much on your own. The school staff in the library department are friendly, helpful, and willing to extend a hand when necessary.

Degree: Public Administration
Graduation Year: 2015

NCCU Department of Public Administration has a very helpful staff that made it an easy transition from undergrad to grad school. I was able to easily adjust and maintain my grades while working full-time.
3.17 out of 5.0
Degree: Law
Graduation Year: 2016

Just completed my first semester - I have good support from the staff and resources are always available
4.83 out of 5.0
Degree: Law
Graduation Year: 2016

The evening program at NCCU is highly competitive! NCCU students are provided support to ensure academic success, the professors are accessible and helpful, and the technology available is top notch! Overall, they offer a quality education and the possibility for networking not found in many other institutions. The only con would probably be the surrounding is the case with many educational institutions, they are not positioned in the best area, but the srcurity guards are ever present to ensure our safety.
4.5 out of 5.0
Degree: Communications (Speech Pathology)
Graduation Year: 2014

Pros: rigorous course of study; knowledgeable professors Cons: poor communication regarding administrative requirements, but it is getting better; too much group work
3.92 out of 5.0
Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2015

Overall the program is great. The faculty is understanding and works with students as much as possible but the workload can be a bit much especially when working full time.
