Degree: Computer Science
Graduation Year: 2007

NC State is a great school for engineering. It has one of the most varied subjects one can look for like Textile and Nuclear. It's based in Raleigh, so RTP is close by with lot of opportunities for jobs after graduation. The professors are great and the area is relatively cheap compared to other areas around the country.

It was a nice campus. At the time of my graduation, much of the campus was under construction including a new student center so I'm sure it is a nice facility.

The classes were interesting and for the most part professors were helpful and understanding. The social atmosphere was great! Tailgating and football games were awesome.

I'm just getting going, but the staff and faculty are amazing and the faculty whom I've already talk to are doing some truly incredible work. I am absolutely excited about getting a chance to work with some of them and build my knowledge base exponentially. This will be a fantastic journey ahead of me!

North Carolina State University is a great place to live and grow. For starters, it is located in Raleigh, North Carolina's capital, which is a sprawling city with urban amenities as well as interspersed natural areas. The college itself is large enough to include cutting edge technology and professors, but small enough where you do not feel like just a number. The professors are some of the top in their respective fields of study and are more than willing to lend a hand in mentoring the next generation of productive and well-rounded citizens. I would highly recommend NC state to anyone looking for a research university in a wonderful location!

Degree: Biology
Graduation Year: 2019

From the beginning the NCSU was a welcoming institution. The professors are always quick on responding and able to help you with course work as well as any scheduling needs. The program I was in was very well organized allowing the students to fully commit to their studies and not be worried about other administrative concerns.

NC State has a great, welcoming atmosphere. There are many opportunities in a variety of fields. When I first started attending NC state I had no idea the types of majors that were possible at this university. But if there is something you want to do, they have it for you here. Anyone who is thinking about applying to a four-year university should consider NC State.
