Degree: Curriculum & Instruction
Graduation Year: 2018

I went over and over with the academic dept with regards to my future plans and the type of degree that I wanted. My goal is to teach adult students, So they assured me before I enrolled, that this program was the one that would best suit me. so the first few classes, all geared to current educators and set to the K-12 curriculum. I figure perhaps there is some overlap in the early classes because they pretty much all dealt with APA, learning theories and how people learn, however all of the required papers were to be written from the K-12 standpoint. Well I get 8 classes in and figure that the way the classes were going was not going to change, K-12, So I decide to drop the program and find a school with a program that would better suit my needs. This was prior to receiving my final grade of the last class with them. The minute I have them drop me, I can no longer access the site or my unofficial grades. I contacted IT and they told me that I had to contact the registrars office, I sent several emails and never got a response back. I would really like to know my final grade without having to order a $10 official transcript. They don't let me log back in, but yet they are continually calling me trying to get me to re-enroll with them. They no longer appeal to me. I have found a school where the dissertation is completed during the course so that when it is over, it is over, unlike NCU where when the course is over you still have to go through the dissertation process,

Northcentral University does not provide a quality education to its PhD candidates and the experience in the dissertation process has been disappointing. My dissertation chair provided cursory feedback and did not actually read most of my submissions for feedback as was evidenced by the questions I asked. After three more chairs and an additional $15,000, I graduated from NCU. The lack of quality feedback provided an impediment to the competition of dissertation resulting in over $60,000 in fees paid to the institution with the constant raising in tuition and additional course requirements from the original amount of $45,000. Due to the unhappy faculty members, my committee members changed constantly and in my dissertation defense a person I had never heard of was placed on my committee. NCU is a for profit institution that does not respect students, literally threatens students if they do not take another course right away and stating that you will be dismissed from the university, encouraging students to take out more and more loans. The academic advisors were nothing more than low paying positions that constantly rotated that I lost track of who my advisor was (I had more than six). Do not think I am a disgruntled student who cannot do the work, I graduated with almost a perfect 4.0 GPA and completed the program, but the process was discouraging and the quality of the instruction poor. While there were a few gems in the program, everyone that I worked with that was good left the institution because the administration does not respect faculty. I would not recommend NCU university and its accreditation should be taken away.

Degree: Healthcare Administration
Graduation Year: 2019

Unique and specifically tailored to path, Northcentral University offers the perfect plan for their students. I was connected to the Dean of the Master of Health Science program and immediately the faculty and staff that she referred me to made me feel at home! They want to help you get to where you want to be. They are dedicated! They call frequently to ensure that I am getting the best experience! It is refreshing to have a network and corner that wants to aid in your success. That is exactly what they are there for!

Graduation Year: 2020

North central university is a great program for working adults. They have a one on one teacher focused model so that students work directly with the instructors. I have instructors call me on the phone to go over my questions or concerns they have seen in my work. Excellent and supportive learning environment.

I graduate in 2017. I had multiple job offers based on having my PhD. My chair, committee, and advisers were supportive of my PhD journey. Attending school online is not for wimps. You have to be self-directed and push forward. NCU is a great school!!

Degree: Health Sciences
Graduation Year: 2016

I strongly believe NCU was designed to ensure successful outcomes for all students. The instructors were well-versed in their craft and demonstrated a genuine interest in the student's performance and progress via providing detailed regular feedback. There is a multitude of resources available to assist with learning needs, i.e. all-access online library, one-on-one tutorial aid, writing center help, and 24/7 tech support. What mattered most to me was the instructor's availability and willingness to make arrangements for discussion segments to assist as needed with assignment clarifications. NCU made online schooling less stressful which I feel was the best choice I could have made for my master's degree program.

Degree: Homeland Security
Graduation Year: 2018

I am writing about the PhD in homeland security policy and organization at Northcentral university. The programs are great and the professors are mostly interactive, we all ran across one or two that bugged us, but in general, it is a nice school that puts a lot of work into grading and teaching their students what they need to know. The financial aid is easy and the advisers are easy to get a hold of, just don't take stats 2 , the guy in that class is horrible, and doesn't care for his job.

Degree: Educational Leadership
Graduation Year: 2018

It is a wonderful educational experience and exceeded my expectations. The process is rigorous; NCU is not for the faint of heart. If one is not highly motivated, self-initiated, and willing to sacrifice to the demands of a PhD program, success will not be likely. I am currently in the Ed Leadership program I will be finished by next year 2018, with no less than a 40-hour per week commitment. Northcentral is providing me with an extremely challenging educational experience, but I expected nothing less for a terminal degree. I highly recommend this university, especially if you are continuing your education for a higher degree.

Northcentral University offers such a wide range of programs that most of the students pursuing a degree might be able to find the right one that matches his or her interest. The system is structured in a way that allows students to continue with their activities while achieving their goals. Moreover, the starting point is whenever the student is ready. The university promotes discipline and commitment within their community through the different resources offered like the Commons and Academic Success Center. Furthermore, NCU proposes a curriculum aligned with the community's needs and a content that generates social awareness. Finally, the institution integrates a team that support students until graduation such as instructors, financial and academic advisors, and coaches.
