Entering into a fully-online graduate program, I was nervous that I would not have the support or accessibility to my professors and advisors that I would have at a brick and mortar institution. Luckily, the faculty and administration is very supportive and communicative with students. I am only just starting on this journey, but I am confident that with hard work, determination, and the ongoing support of my professors and peers, I will be very successful at Northcentral.

The school does not offer student email accessible outside the school system. This is inconvenient when attempting to apply for scholarships or other student affiliated programs.

Participating in an online program is very good. Some of the responses do not actually apply to online learning, such as social life, transportation, affordability of living and campus safety. However, the information provided by the University gives a potential student a good sense of these areas.

The program is great and the one to one model which they use to provide education is much better than any other online university I have attended. Plus they have very few discussion boards and group projects.

I entered Northcentral's EDD program in 2013, as soon as I finished my Masters in Education from Ottawa University. So far I am very impressed with the education that I am getting. The faculty and ad- visors are knowledgeable and helpful.

The pros of the NCU grad program are (1) the program is online so you can work full time and go to school. (2) the classes all have a standard for assignments and time frames, the classes are 8 weeks long and there are 8 assignments, 1 assignment per week (3) the mentors, advisors and faculty are very helpful and give you personalized service, I have never been on hold and the staff always returns my calls (4) the mentors are very supportive and very helpful and give lots of feedback for improvement The cons of my graduate program is that it is for profit which comes with an unfortunate (and undeserved) reputation. I think that NCU is like any other college; I get out of it what I put into it.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2015

Northcentral University is a completely online program. Therefore, factors like Affordability of Living, Campus Safety, Social Life and Surrounding Area really don't apply. However, when I didn't rate them, the school didn't score as highly as I thought they should. It's a great program, and the staff and mentors have been wonderful to work with!

Northcentral pros would be that the online technology support is very efficient and easy to use. The classes are easy to follow with the support of a GREAT virtual library with a wealth of resources. The cons would be that there is not enough financial support for working students in this tough economy. There are no scholarships offered, private scholarships offered or discounts for students in various professions.

I have spent most of my career working with and teaching international students in 35 countries. Now, with a degree in International education, I will be able to find a teaching career in university and help prepare the nations next generation of teachers. I will have to get used to doing this online, so that will be challenging for me.
