Northcentral is an online school, so many of these areas are not applicable. During my program, the school has made many changes to improve school technology; however, some faculty members were unable to manage the transition smoothly. Being apart of an distant-learning program that requires clinical hours was difficult as many local agencies have alliances with local schools internships. It would be nice for NCU to establish alliances in the larger metro areas for students. Amongst many Pros, is the fact that the program is COAMFTE accredited which is fantastic. NCU is constantly seeking to improve the quality of education they provide and that is a great benefit for all students.

There needs to me more proofreading of the modules. Some simple spelling and grammar errors detract heavily. Variety within the courses needs to be looked at, increased.

Some of the questions were irrelevant since I attend all of my courses online so I am unfamiliar of the campus life as well as the student diversity. However, thus far the experience I have received from both the faculty members and administration staff have been very pleasant as they are willing to work with me.

I fell in love with this school the moment I spoke with the faculty. They were so helpful and friendly--answering any questions I had. Not only did they make the enrollment process easy, but everyone kept in contact with me throughout it all! It took about 4.5 weeks to find out whether or not I had been accepted. Afterwards, all four of the faculty members that had been helping me, congratulated me through email. Once the program began, I was amazed at how simple the school site was. There are IT programs you can watch if you feel uncomfortable with any aspect of the site or you can simply pick up the phone and call someone. Northcentral University always has someone there to help. Ordering books was a breeze, too. Prior schools I had gone to made the book ordering process miserable. They give you the class, you have to go through the syllabus just to find the books, then you have to figure out where to buy them from, and lots of times the school library didn't have the books in stock! Well, at NCU--that is not the case. It is super easy. You go to your course online and literally just click a button. All of the books are readily available for your course and future courses, if need be. You can choose from New, Used, or Rentals. One of the coolest parts of NCU is that the professors meet with you ONE-on-ONE via Skype. They get to know YOU and are truly interested in your learning and passions. I have had such a wonderful experience with Northcentral University thus far. I love the faculty and staff, the simplicity and easiness of the school site, and I love that everyone cares. This is a GREAT school and I HIGHLY recommend pursuing a degree/career at NCU.

NorthCentral offers a wide array of programs at the PhD level. Their courses are comprehensive and cover all aspects of the desired field of study completely. Although, there are many assignments that seem to be more on he Bachelor's rather than on the PhD or Master's level. They are rather boring and do not seem to really apply to studying at the higher levels. Thankfully, these items are spread very thin and one does not need to do many of them. Otherwise, NCU is a great school with individuals who are ready and willing to help and answer questions and concerns rapidly.

This is a great school that has made getting my graduate degree possible. It's good to know that as I go on trying to get my career in policing started, I have a school that supports me and will give me a break when I'm in training. It definitely makes things more real to know that my academic advisor, my financial aid advisor, and others I talk to, are willing to lend a helping hand when needed.

Some of the faculty is extremely hard to get in contact with. One professor took 10 DAYS to respond to repeated emails. I am on my FOURTH committee chair and she is wonderful, the first quit the university, the second and third were useless and provided very little feedback on my work. The curriculum is robust and well developed. I had a great time doing my coursework here.

All online, no peer support. Instructors are helpful but again, all online so time is a consideration. So far, so good.

The online program is a good value and applicable to the working professional. The program allows for the flexibility needed to maintain daily work schedules. The education is applicable to the current workforce.
