Pros: Professors do have an open door policy. The professors are extremely accommodating to students who need to meet to further discuss class topics. Nova offers tips on resume building and offers a lot of networking opportunities. The school has a variety of campus organizations who host different functions, which are attended by attorneys, judges, members of the legislature. Cons: Not a lot of scholarships are offered through the school.

The pros is that it is an an established program that combines a traditional curriculum with developing skills used by attorneys on a daily basis. I find that aspect of the program to be valuable. The con is that the the technological infrastructure can be improved. The wireless network is something to be desired.

I know many people who receive graduate degrees and learn nothing, but I learned to be a better professional at NSU.

Degree: Pharmacy
Graduation Year: 2017

Overall I feel very optimistic about the graduate program I am currently enrolled. I plan to obtain a residency in psychiatric pharmacy after completing my Doctor of Pharmacy and have already started research with the residency director at NSU. The program integrates new technology with traditional teaching styles. My incoming class was the first class required to have an iPad in which we take exams on and many use in class to take notes rather than paper and pen. They also broadcast lectures to two different sites in West Palm Beach and Ponce, Puerto Rico. The professors all have an open door policy, making it easy to create relationships with faculty members. The program not only focuses on teaching future pharmacists their role in the health care industry but also the skills we need to be leaders in the industry. They try to teach students how to put up a professional front which is an ever so important component in the health care system. Although NSU is not one of the top rated pharmacy schools as they are not a huge research university, I do feel their focus on our education is outstanding.

Because all my courses have been online, I am unable to comment on issues such as safety, transportation, and surrounding area. However, the courses and support I have received through online classes have been exceptional, and I would highly recommend this program to any speech pathologist who wishes to further his/her education in the field.
