Nova has the largest SLP program in the nation. It is a very expensive school. However, it does have some good qualities. The faculty are very knowledgeable and organize the classes very well. I really like how the online classes have open book exams. The workload so far has been very doable. The things that I don't like about the school is how expensive it is. Also, whenever you communicate with anyone at the school through email it takes a very long time to get a response. Overall if you are looking for a good distance SLP program I do recommend applying to Nova Southeastern.

The pros of my program are that it is online and a reasonable course load. The price is very good and the length of the entire master's program is incredibly reasonable. The cons are that the website is not as user friendly as I would like. It is slightly complicated to use the online class site and coursework submission pages.

More support is needed to Graduate level students. Resources are all geared toward Undergraduate programs.

Pros - The faculty at NOVA are very knowledgeable, approachable, and teach interesting classes that vary from the norm. Cons - It would be nice to have everyone experience going out on the boats to collect samples and perform field samples. It is also expensive to attend NOVA Southeastern University as it is a private, research university.

Online only program is very challenging but worth the experience and future exposure.

Before I stated the online SLP program I was not sure if I would get a quality education at Nova. However, when I went to orientation and met some of the faculty and staff I knew that I it was a quality program. The faculty and staff are highly qualified and want you to succeed. They are very knowledgeable about SLP and are very approachable. The way they have the program outlined and constructed is very organized and streamlined. I know exactly what classes I need to take and when to take them. Some of the cons I have found in the program mostly involve the tech support. Since we do our classes online there is going to be plenty of opportunities for needing help. I have tried contacting the help desk many times and the response is very slow. I also think the tuition is very very high. I really think that it is too high for what you are given. I would understand the price if it included on campus housing and meals but for just the online classes it is quite ridiculous. Overall I am thankful to get to be apart of Nova Southeastern and I know I will receive a good education here.

Currently pursuing a Doctorate degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Nova Southeastern University, I believe the pros of studying this graduate program lies in understanding and applying material learned in everyday life situations. The class sizes are reasonable, faculty are readily accessible to answer any questions one may have and fellow classmates have built lasting friendships through networking and class schedules. The cons to pursing this graduate program is having to explain to outsiders of hte course the necessity of the degree and courses it may entail. Being a relatively new and upcoming field, it often times tends to be a bit challenging but one I am sure my fellow classmates are willing to overcome.
