I just want to say that Alliance Graduate School of Counseling has not only prepared me for my career in Marriage and Family Therapy it has transformed my life! The MFT faculty are outstanding! They are not only extremely knowledgeable, but are compassionate and gracious as well. If you are contemplating MFT programs, look no further, this program has it all! Blessings on your journey of discovery! Tracie

Degree: Religious Studies

Nyack College's Alliance Theological Seminary is a worthy place to study God and theology. I can definitely state that I have received a fine, high quality education at this seminary. Although the work is not as rigorous as I have been used to in my past studies, I have worked steadily to gain the knowledge and skills I need to perfect and produce work that relates to the study of God and theology in its entirety. The professors are engaging and are readily available to students and their needs. The program is overall efficient, relevant and complete. I wouldn't study theology elsewhere. The diversity of the student body is also great and the campus in Lower Manhattan is good for transportation and is located in a nice surrounding area with tourist sites. One of the cons of ATS is that because it is a fairly small, there are not so many courses given each semester and the entire program is at this point not available online. Another of the cons about the program at ATS is that courses are given at set hours such as 10AM, 2PM, and 6PM and do not vary. Thus there aren't as many times available for given courses at the seminary.

The pros of my graduate program is that it equips me to efficiently fulfill the duties in my area. Studying for a Masters in Divinity with an emphasis on Biblical Theology, I feel the graduate program fills up all that I need. On the con side though, the school fee is a bit expensive.

My program and courses were online so it was a bit difficult to give a score on things like social life or surrounding area BUT overall I really enjoy this school and the program that I am in, TESOL.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2015

I love the graduate counseling program because it challenges us to not just work hard academically to gain knowledge but as we learn we are also challenged to face our own demons and go after emotional wholeness. Both professors as well as students help one another in this process and support each other as they face hard issues in their own lives. This program has definitely helped me to grow as a person and helped me as a woman and a wife. I highly recommend it!

I love Nyack, and they way they actually incorporate Christian values with everyday living, and make it possible to live a rich educated life and not feel afraid to be a Christian and still be educated in a circular atmosphere.
