Student & Graduate Reviews

Degree: Nutrition
Graduation Year: 2021

The Department of Food Science and Technology at OSU stands out among top food science programs across the nation because of its esteemed and accomplished faculty and strong affiliations with major industry leaders. When I joined the department as a graduate student I was a full time employee working in my field of study. The university provided amazing support and flexibility in order for me to reach my academic and professional goals. Through continued studies, I anticipate being a highly inquisitive solution seeker and knowledgeable researcher capable of making contributions to food science and humanity that would never be possible without the human and scientific resources of a great university such as OSU.

Ohio State provided an amazing graduate experience. Their graduate assistantships provided relevant work experience and funding toward tuition. The faculty provided high quality educational experiences and challenged us to be scholar practitioners in our field.

Degree: Nursing
Graduation Year: 2020

The Ohio State University is a huge college and offers lots of opportunities in an extensive amount of college majors. This college would be best for students that want to be in a large college and will not be overwhelmed with the shear amount of people, majors, resources and size of campus. For those seeking a small one on one college experience, this would likely not be a great fit. I feel this college was a great place for me and feel those that are motivated will do well and receive a great education.

Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2014

I found the professors to be very knowledgeable about their specific field, many having Ph Ds or equivalent. The viewpoint of the college is very liberal which influences their presentation of the material, especially with behavioral sciences.

I was pleased with my experience at OSU. I had the opportunity to work in the public health field abroad and receive global experience. The grad school advisors were very supportive and great mentors. Thanks to my experience at OSU I was accepted into a prestigious fellowship with the CDC.

Degree: Architecture
Graduation Year: 2015

The Architecture program at Ohio State is among the most time demanding majors on campus. Spending majority of my time in the studio spaces of Knowlton I learned several computer programs that allow for flexibility in the field, how to work with people who have different ideas, and how to manage time to effectively meet deadlines. Ohio State is where I met some of the most helpful faculty members that helped shaped my career and some of the best people that are now my closest friends.
