"Ohio University offered me an excellent undergraduate education as well as a very high quality college experience. I felt highly prepared for my student teaching experiences and had a job offer before graduation! Especially in the world of music education, that is a feat in and of itself, and I would not have been able to secure that position without my exceptionally well-rounded education. The general education classes rounded out my knowledge and helped me become a deeper thinking student and human being. Diversity is obvious and celebrated at Ohio University, and students from all over the world are proud to be Bobcats! Professional networking and interviewing opportunities occurred year-round so we could get our feet in as many doors as possible. The culture, the education, and the real-world prep that Ohio University provides create an atmosphere like no other, and although no school is perfect, OU is one of the most high quality institutions I could ever imagine being a part of."

"I loved my time at Ohio University. Not only is the campus a slice of heaven, but the atmosphere is perfect. The locals are friendly, they help you if you ask and can become incredible friends. The education I received on campus was outstanding. I learned so much from my teachers, it was obvious to see they cared. They would offer help and encourage their students to come to office hours. Leaving Ohio U was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I made some lifelong friends and learned not only learned a lot in regards to school, but even more so in regards to who I am and about the world."

"It has a beautiful campus set in the Hocking Hills. Smaller class sizes when you get to your core classes. A small town feel with a big city education. Walk from one side of the campus to the other in 20 minutes. Lots of groups and social opportunities."

"Athens, Ohio is a wonderful place to live and go to school. You can have a totally unique experience depending on what you want to do and how you want to go about it. Yes, it's a party school and that can be annoying if you're not into that, but it's not hard to avoid that and there are lots of other things to do. It's a great place to focus on your academics, explore nature, eat great local food, and get involved in the community. I really enjoyed my classes and a few professors in the psychology department especially."

"Staff are great and helpful. I learned a lot and am proud of my work here. However, the job market can be sort of hard coming out of here because it's kind of isolated."

"OU is a great school. The faculty go above and beyond to help students. They are understanding when personal issues arise, and will work with you. The campus is amazing. I miss living on campus, because everything was accessible - anything I needed was right there, or within walking distance. Student life is also a big deal at OU. There are many of social groups to join and many opportunities to become a part of the student life on campus. I was part of the Green Bobcats when I was at the branch campus, then I joined Hall Counsel when I moved into the dorms. OU is affordable. Paying for college is the largest deal-maker or breaker for most students. OU will work with students to help pay for college. Overall, it is a great college. So good, in fact, I decided to attend OU for my Master's program this year."

"The Physician Assistant Program at Ohio University's Dublin, OH campus both challenging and extremely rewarding. The faculty are extremely knowledgeable and caring. The new campus has state-of-the-art facilities with amazing technology. Unfortunately, due to the intensity of the curriculum, it is recommended (for good reason) that students do not attempt to work while in this program. This makes funding school and everyday living expenses difficult."

"OU is a great school. It is affordable, and the professors are willing to work with the students. The Soc-Crim program makes sociology students more employable, and it provides students with much experience in research methods. I feel that more people should sign up for the Soc-Crim program, because it provides more of an insight to the world. In order to view society more clearly, sociology is the way to go."

"My experience in this graduate program has been one of the busiest times of my life, but I wouldn't trade my experiences for anything. The academics, practical experience, and alumni network are second to none. It is clear why this program is ranked #1 in the United States for the Master's of Sports Administration degree. The professors truly care about you as a person and about your future in the field. I have no doubt that being a student in this program will continue to pay dividends for me throughout my career, and the friends and contacts I have made will last a lifetime!"

The faculty are resourceful and generous with their time and knowledge. Hands-on experience is guaranteed from day one. Graduate assistantships are readily available to help offset the tuition cost. Courses are pertinent and geared towards preparing the student for a vast range of career options within the field of Exercise Physiology. Small class sizes provide an ideal setting for optimum learning. A great program with fantastic professors, classmates, and comprehensive academics!"

"Pros: very practical experience in varying areas of higher education, the GA/ practicum experiences are invaluable. Athens is also a very cool area. Cons: program administrators are NOT helpful and wish to do away with the practicum experiences, which are the biggest draw to the program. Very disorganized, students feel alienated and not valued to administrative faculty in the program."

"The Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM) is a program that produces proficient physicians into the healthcare industry. As one of the best Osteopathic programs in the nation OU-HCOM has many pros and even holds records. For example, OU-HCOM has the lowest student to cadaver ratio in the world guaranteeing its medical student, at most, four students to one cadaver. OU-HCOM also puts its medical program and medical campus in close proximity to the other undergrad and graduate programs offered at Ohio University which allows for a more social atmosphere and promotes healthy academic competition. OU-HCOM even educates us outside of the country offering medical studies abroad during the first summer at numerous locations including Kenya. In addition to the thorough education it is providing, Ohio University sits within a very safe campus and city that promotes social behavior among students. OU-HCOM holds very few cons, however it may not be the best place for an out of state applicant. The program focuses on producing the best primary care physicians interested in practicing in Ohio. For most of us this is a good thing, but if an out of state student does not want to practice medicine in Ohio it may be a con."

"The social networking in our program was excellent - students got to know each other well and were able to easily work with one another. We also had some AMAZING teachers who went above and beyond to aid us in our process of becoming teachers. I felt the program in general prepared us for the Praxis Exams."
