Degree: Nursing
Graduation Year: 2015

ODU was is an excellent school for nursing. There are several big hospitals for clinical sights where the student can see a great range of things medically. The nursing school really prepares the nurse for what they will see and I feel very competent as nurse. The only thing that ODU could improve on is having more specialty offers for the nursing students to enter into. They currently only offer 3 tracts for the masters program and 2 for the doctorate program.

The pro of the graduate program is that it is one of the best schools in Virginia to achieve a Master's Degree. The con is that the cost of graduate school is very expensive and students who pursue graduate school do not receive a lot of grants or scholarships.

Degree: Fine Arts
Graduation Year: 2015

We have a talented creative writing faculty that includes 3 Fulbright Scholars, 3 National Book Award Finalists, 2 Whiting Award Winners, and 1 New York Times best seller. Classes are kept small to provide maximum accessibility to the faculty. It is a welcoming, nurturing environment where writers are challenged and supported throughout the entire program.

(Con)The program is a research-based program, so if an individual is interested in pursuing a career other than a professor, challenges will arise in regards to direction from faculty. (Pro) Professors are full of knowledge in regards to research areas (Pro) Great, up-to-date technology and lab equipment

An advantage about the graduate program at Old Dominion University is that the classes provide you with the skills you need to work for different companies and corporations. The disadvantage about the graduate program is that some of the transportation classes that I need in order to graduate are not offered every year. They are offered every three years.

Degree: Public Administration
Graduation Year: 2014

Offer classes online as well as on campus, professors are great and go above and beyond to help students. Organize career fairs and events with alumni and employers. Cons include having to travel to different locations for classes and wish there were more offered at main campus.
