Too many classes to take and TA, that are not necessary for research, limits productivity.

Pros: Very good reputation provides unique opportunities. Small department means you know professors and they (sort of) know you on a first-name basis. Cons: The university recently (2012) significantly reduced the grad student housing, leaving grad students to rent in the expensive surrounding town which has few renting options. There are some unbelievable stories of people having no choice but to rent from terrible landlords in terrible houses. This *alone* is enough reason to go somewhere else.

Princeton is a great place for studying, having a nice environment and great opportunities. Especially highly I value the opportunity to access any faculty easily in order to discuss whatever I want. And the student community is very supporting and not too stressful and competitive.

I am lucky to study in Princeton. The strong academic atmosphere will help to stimulate new ideas and true love for science.
